Well, I was reading a smoothie cookbook and didn't have all the ingredients called for any of them, so I decided to make one of my own with what I had. I came up with something...odd...
WARNING! Though I like it and will make it again and again, it's not something I'd ever market or expect to find marketed.
Ingredients: One red bell pepper Four pieces of broccoli One large carrot An apple Half a banana A thin slice of onion Can of Welch's Fruit Punch A cup of fat free banana Yoplait yogurt Favorite liquid (I used spring water) Ten ice cubes
Directions: 1. Put all ingredients except onion, bell pepper, and fruit punch in blender and blend until smooth 2. Add onion and bell pepper to taste, but be careful! When I tried it I put in just a little bit of two layers of onion in and about a third of a big bell pepper, and the smoothie tasted far too much like pepper. That when I thought of: 3. Add fruit punch to taste. I use about a third of a can or so.
Depending on how much water and fruit punch you use, this recipe make about four glasses.
I liked the stuff a lot, actually. It may not sound good read, but that's why sight and taste aren't closely linked, right?
