Bantamweight George Gibson from Georgia on the left.I had the extreme pleasure to meet George a few years agi in Pittsburgh. He has a deformed left leg but still competes with the best of them and he is over 40 years old. Truly a champion and truly one of the most humble and personable people I`ve ever met in bodybuilding.Just a great guy!!

Eric Bui and Jorge Betancourt battling it out for the middleweight class. Betancourt on the right was a teenage sensation many years ago and returned to competition last year after a long absence. He didn`t fare too well at last years Nationals but regrouped and look`s great.Totally on point and I think he will take this class!

Dugdale and another guy I met while in Florida,Nathan Wonsley.I met Nate in `95 and thought he would go far in the sport. While he clearly won`t beat Dugdale it`s good to see this former pro football star get some well deserved recognition!

Chris Cook and Omar Deckard!! Once again, Cook didn`t live up to his hype, and failed to dial it all in!

Long time veteran Rusty Jeffers on the left ,minus the hair and handlebar moustache should easily take this class as he is the only one in condition except for Dave Palumbo who look`s like a science project gone awry!!

Speaking of Palumbo, who I have met on 5 different occasions,he look`s like an abomination in this photo. No lines at all,no lats, terrible pecs and arms, etc. etc. Though Dave is a great guy and vastly intelligent you`d never know it judging by the apparant abuse of drugs that helped him create this mess of a physique. I hate to say it but he should just retire as he will never win anything looking like this. Chris Bennet is the competitor on the right!

I don't mean this to come across in a disrectful way, but Palumbo's body looks like it is actually shrinking and regressing. Just recently he appears to be holding less and less muscle at each contest. Maybe the drug charges currently hanging over him will turn out to be a blessing in disguise because at least it will force Palumbo to give his body a break from all the supplementation. The hw's look very close between Harris and Haley. Both in good condition, and it's great to see two bbers without the enlarged waistlines seen too often on ifbb stages. George Gibson looks impressive. Out of curiosity, anyone know if a competitor would be marked down for the leg? It's going to be interesting to hear the results tonight....

Thanks, Tim and Chris C. From what I see, Mark should win overall and pro card. Total package, no one dialed it in better.
Heavies look tough, would lean slightly to Marcus based on this. But could go either way.
Like Dave, but have to agree. Supers looks very weak. Chris Cook is off. Hope Chris Bennett gets into top 5.
George Gibson is a top athlete and would not mark him down. The leg is developed. He should do masters, sure he would do very well.
Look forward to results.

Gibson does really well in contests, taking home a slew of trophies in prestigous national level contests so while the leg may affect his placings somewhat, his physique is so good it pulls him through.
The pic of George as well as most photos hardly do the competitors physiques any justice.
Palumbo just look`s bad and it`s too bad because he is a really nice guy who works hard but his body is regressing and he needs to come off the sh*t and just take a long break and start at square one to see if he can salvage his physique.
In a word,he look`s terrible!

Hope you all aren't mad at me for my attempt at humor there, I know this is serious business especially between the competitiors(and Tim you need to ask proboards to provide a smiley face that conveys a mea culpa.)
Seriously, though, isn't David Palumbo considered the steroid guru. Hope you all don't get mad at me for this comment, but a commerical could me made, "This is your body on steroids"(i.e the famous commercial "This is your brain on drugs").
