Wow! I'm constantly amazed at the intensity level that you maintain! Sounds like you need to be careful with that Bronkaid though!

I have no problems with the Bronkaid, I can and have stopped cold turkey tomorrow. I'm almost done with it anyways for numerous reasons 1) being the diet is coming to an end 2) I could be back driving on a truck within the next 2 weeks or so and that means eyes watching even closer with the D.O.T. and 3) I'm sure my body just about needs a rest....from training, Bronkaid, and mentally/CNS as well. I've only been using the stuff for about a month now anyway. I've never had an addictive personality, so I'm not worried about it too much. Unless sex and weights are addictive....oh and guitar playing too! *When I said freak out in the previous post, I've been doing stuff like that since I was 5 years old and I have yet to figure it out. I'll sleep with zero problems for months, and then one day wake up thinking it's a different hour and then I'm fine for months or even years. Never done something I regret (aside from the ephedra issue) like walk into the street or hurt someone. All this long before I was even a mature adult (if you even can call me that!).

Up today, was Arms. I couldn't believe how packed the gym was! It was 11:30am, and there was 200 people in there!!! I have no clue why, but I'm guessing the summer rush to look good is on? I'm not too worried, I started to look "summer good" about 2 months ago! Tri-Set... Std. Tri. Extension Machine: 80x12x2 Parallel Dip Machine: 180x12x2 Cbl. French Presses: 80x12x2 Wow, these took some fortitude to get through. It was warmer than usual, I'm trying to keep "my machines" and not be interrupted and above all else- it was hard!!! Superset... Adams Extensions: 27.5x12x2 Dec. CGBP: 135x8x2 The latter, was really hard using my triceps, my chest kept wanting to take over because the tri's were so fatigued. I managed though. Tri-set... St. Bar Pressdowns: 60x12x2 Rev. St. Bar Pressdowns: 60xAMAPx2 Rope Pressdowns: 30x12x2 My tri's were smoked at this point. Tri-set... St. Rev. BB Curls: 60x12x2 St. Alt. DB Curls: 35x12x2 Bisolater: 70xAMAPx2 The pump was insane! Call a Psycho doctor, it was that "bad." Lying Cable Curls: (tempo-525) 40xamapx2 Got the weight stack stuck at the top of the machine! I felt like an idiot, trying to be all cool, and here I go and do this!!! Overall, I didn't care for the tempo of the exercise. Superset... Parallel Dip Machine: 130x12, 150x12 Incline Curl Machine: 75x12, 90x12 The former was a better Dip machine, where you could use different grips; I liked it much better. I liked the feel of the curl machine too, but I'm not sure if the weight stack is even near enough. For Shock day, at the end of a super/tri-set, sure. But for straight sets I can't pin anything on there once the stack is full. Finished with 20min walk on the treadmill, and 20min on the Arc Trainer.

What a day, that's all I can say over and over again. What a day. Up at 4:30am, working by 5am, drivers 4.5hrs late, all my stores are on that drivers truck, on my feet all day, training someone and he's watching me pop a cork at every turn, and it's LEG DAY. I pop me a five hour energy drink (which didn't last 5min!) and off I went to Shock my legs..... Tri-Sets.... Leg Extensions: 60x15x2 Sissy Squats: BWx15x2 Hack Squats: 185x15x2 If anything would wake me up, it was this, but the forthcoming set did these sets one better. Tri-Sets... Smith Front Squats (tempo-321): 95x12x2 Super Slow Hack Squats: (tempo-525): AMAPx2 (I think I got 10-12 couldn't count/remember) Sissy Squats: bwx12x2 Heart racing, legs pumped with blood and fatigued nearly giving out as I walked to the next machine within the set... Cybex One Leg Squat Press: 135x10 Just for fun really.... Hamstrings...I was actually pretty pissed, as I had ONE MORE set to go, and of all people a Golds employed personal trainer stole my last machine after watching me use it for two sets, didn't ask and didn't say I could work-in. Plus, they sat there shooting the bull...I was so smoked/perturbed, had I said something it would have me thrown out!!! Tri-Set.... Plate Loaded One Leg Curls: 45x10x3 Prone Lying Leg Curls: 80x10x3 Hamtractor: 90x12x3 Straight Sets for the rest of the workout... Standing Leg Curls (tempo-222): 10x10x3 Just about pump and contraction here. Std. Leg Curls: 90x10 110x10 I wanted to do a power based exercise, and this would have been good, but I was pretty thrashed at this point. Super Horizontal Calf Press (tempo-222): 315x10-12x3 I LOVE this machine....indispensable now, it replaces Donkey Calf raises as my "old standby." Std. Calf Raises (tempo-522): 135x10-12 Oh god, these rocked, painful, but they rocked. #arockon6ha# Donkey Calf Raises: 400x10x2 Not enough weight, and I'll take some getting used to with this machine since it's fairly different than my old gyms- someone will most definitely have to stand on top of this one!!! ;D At this point, I was just "slogging" through my workout. Every step, every blink of my eye was a workout in it's own right. I huffed over to the treadmill, and plodded along for 40min messing with the adjustments every 2min. I can't believe that I not only did it, but one thing is for sure....I don't really remember too much about it! #aseeingstars5gt# I'm done.....

Nice workout YB.... Looks tuff. Tri sets for legs is always BRUTAL! Next time, kick the Gold's Gym trainer sissy's out of the way and tell them you have a job to do that will accomplish something, unlike them!!!

Well, the weekend is over, and I'm damn glad it is! <sigh> I worked my normal day job, with Friday being tougher than usual as read in the above entry. Saturday I worked the day gig, and headed up North for a music gig at night. I did the same yesterday, but I did two music gigs and the day job. 5 gigs in two days....I'm spent. And my training, or rather, the mental aspect of my training reflected how tired I am. From sleep loss, lack of food-or decent food I should say- to just overall fatigue, it was time to move on whether I "wanted to" or not. This was also the start of my first Hybrid week, that Mrky turned me onto. Not sure if I did it right, but I just perused really quickly and this is what I decided on.... Incline BB Presses (three minute rest): 225x4 225x5 225x4 Probably could have gotten another on the last set, just really didn't feel like pushing myself. Flat DB Presses (2min Rest): 100x8 100x6 100x5 I'm struggling with some of the benches they have there. The good solid flat benches are bolted to the floor and nowhere near the 100's, and the incline bench isn't designed for me. So, I was struggling with the weight, and not being comfortable didn't help any. Never mind how tired I just said I was hampering this. Superset...(one minute rest between duo) 30* Humbler: 60x12x2 HS Incline Press: 185xAMAPx2 When I failed on the last set of Incline Presses, I did Rest-Pause. I think I did 4 "rounds" of it, and got 2-3 extra reps each time, if you count the initial rep, I was getting 3-4. Alternating Sets... Standing Shrugs: 185x12x2 Std. Shrugs: 185x12x2 I'd do a set standing, rest a minute, and then do seated, rest a minute, back to standing, etc... Wtd. Crunches: 20x12 30x12 40x12 I cut back my ab training severely, as I realized it was creating a muscle imbalance. I was having back pain, and it wasn't getting any better. I tried the mattress rotation, I watched my posture, and the way I was lifting things at work etc...nothing helped. I correlated it to when I started training abs again, so last week I decided not to do my second day of ab training, and my back immediately felt 100%. So, this week I only did three good quality sets instead of my usual volume of 12-15. And I'll probably just do 3 sets on Thursday for maintenance. I finished the workout by walking on the treadmill at 3.4mph, but every minute I increased the incline by .05. The first few minutes were easy, but once you're walking on 6 and above and know that you have 4 more minutes to go and eventually end up on 10, it's another story altogether! Then I went downstairs to the recumbent bike, for another twenty minutes, varying it similar to HIIT style- my usual way of doing cardio. I was damn hungry, so as I ate my KFC at the store, I noticed there was a small brush fire, so I called 911 and the FD was dispatched. I'm done and ready for bed....at 4pm!!!

So true Tim! I can usually get by without cardio, and not have any problems. But as I've said in the past, I let myself get too out of shape this year compared to past years, and I really needed to do this cardio in order to get back to my svelte figure!!!

Damn bro, I got tired just reading that*l lol. I see you like to do a lot of unilateral training on legs, I've been doing that too, good stuff. Keep going. I hate cardio too, but I have to do it too precontest. Good Going!

I like to do a lot of unilateral movements, not just for legs though. Your body needs to move separately/independently by itself, and I'm not doing this just to get "huge." Would be nice, but I much rather enjoy being able to be "huge" AND athletic too. Have my cake and eat it too! So, I do a lot of one-arm/unilateral training for that reason, as well as to compensate for any strength discrepancies that may occur while training with a Barbell and having the strong limb take over.

Back Day, and at work it was a wild one. Every corner I turned, I zigged when I should have zagged!!! One Arm DB Rows: 100x8, 110x8, 120x6 Should have started heavier, but since it'd been a few months since I did these, I decided to "feel" my way, but should have started with at least the 110's. HS Pullovers: 225x8x3 Man, the first set was somewhat easy, but the following sets were a struggle, big time! Superset... HS One Arm DY Rows:185x10 Underhand Pulldowns: 120x10-12 The latter exercise, once I reached failure on the second/final set, I would take a few breaths, change up my grip, and go back at it Rest-Pause style and repeat. I would get 2-3 reps extra if I fought for it. Onto Shoulders.... Std. Military Presses: 135x6, 155x5x2 Loved these, hard and brutal. Tri-Set... Front DB Raise: 15x10x3 Laterals: 15x10x3 Arnold Press: 15x10x3 All done standing, as I usually do them sitting so it was time to change it up. One Arm Rear Delt Cable Flye: 20x12x2 I sort of reversed the Shock and RR portions, but I was also ready to stick myself with a fork. But I had a 40min cardio session ahead of me. 20min on the treadmill, 10min on the elliptical, and another 10min on the recumbent bike. Broke it up as much as I could, though I forgot till about 17min passed on the treadmill. I needed to do this since I was so tired/fatigued and wanted to stay somewhat interested in more than just the air I was breathing.
