Im kind of shocked myself here. on these shrugs, no straps, just all grip. even when i do rack deads, i can pull almost 400 with no straps or gloves. this is a HUGE step for me. some of you may remember a while back i said "i cant even shrug 135 without straps" and here i am grippin-n-rippin!!!
my traps are so sore today!

Good for you Steve-O!!!
I tried something different on my DB shrugs yesterday by doing what I call Jay Cutler Style shrugs.
I did one side at a time, kinda like you can do laterals and presses, except with shrugs.
Felt a little weird at first, but felt good once I g ot the hang of it. The Traps are really sore today too, so I guess they worked!
Nice job..and keep hiiting it Bro!!!

havent been to the gym since the half asses workout sunday. i miss it, but i think i need to rest this sciatica. its really begining to dull down and i dont want to aggravate it.
i think im going to go to the gym today tho to do some cardio and do an intense stretching routine. i dont think resistance training is what i need right now, but i think i need to handle this sciatica the correct way, and by me staying home, motionless is prob not the best way.

Sciatica can be a pain in the azz (sorry ;D) But your right. Do what you can do. And don't sweat it. The gym isn't going anywhere, so do what you can do. I know it's tough NOT to go. Hell, I'm probably in the gym more than I'm at home!! I tease the owner that I'm not paying my gym dues, "I'm Paying Rent!"...They offerred to set me up a cot in the back room to save on gas money I'm pulling for ya buddy! Listen to the Doc, Listen to the Therapists, Listien to the knowlegeable people here, and then do what YOU need to do. Keep in touch Bro!!! Frank

My wife and I stayed home from work today. Milking the off time from the funeral, plus we were both tired and had a headache. I told you that because my wife said, "I can't wait till we go to the gym, I'll feel a lot better once I get there"!!!
Perhaps there's something in the air? hmmmm ;D
We're with ya buddy!!!
Do what you need to do!
