Tim, I see you use the Nautilus 4 way neck. I haven't used it in 20 years but I remember I was the only one in the gym that used it. I thought it worked great. The gym also had a rotational type Nautilus brand neck machine. You had to lock your head in a device that squeezed your head like a melon. I thought that was a great machine too. I have never seen that machine in any other gym nor I have read about it anywhere.

Rich, great to see you posting back here..........hope you are recovering well. I swear by the 4-Way Neck Machine............simply awesome peice of equipment. Every gym should have one. Back when Jeff King trained in my hometown,he used it 3 x a week without fail...........and we all know how his neck development was!!

Thing is,we don`t have a hack squat machine or a real calf machine!!
Lying Leg Sled is the closest thing to being a hack, and they do have a machine that I have never seen before called a Jam`N Squat that you can do front squats and calf raises on.
I guess it`s give and take, but I`d much rather have a good hack squat machine. #smileylame7qi#

Ah, don't get me started on gym equipment ;D At my gym i have noticed that most of the stuff isn't even bolted down #athumbsdown9vd#
After squats the other day i nearly made the rack crash into the mirrors!! If ever i get an injury from somewhere i'm going to blame these guys and get me some $$$ ;D

I`m getting more and more enthusiastic by the day as today I was much more vascular, and had a tiny network of veins all over my bi`s and tri`s,with a huge garden hose type vein running down my biceps.
Got home and checked out my physique and I`m happy to say I am dialing it in just fine right on target!! #woohoo8ad#
No more self doubt, just balls out training and a Spartanlike eating regimen!! #arockon6ha#
Watch out Buffalo N.Y.,I`m in the freakin` zone baby !!! #amuscleman4dx#

I hope my above post doesn`t sound like I`m bragging, because I`m definately not,I`m just psyched and mega-enthusiastic right now. Yeah, it does, but aren't ALL bodybuilders egotistical SOB's who are full of themselves? After all, we look in the mirror to admire ourself ALL THE TIME, don't we?? ;D Just kidding..... Tim, I'm glad to see you are so psyched & enthusiastic. I'm feeling the same and it gets more intense as each day goes by!!! Keep hitting it HARD, buddy!

Tim, my recovery is going faster than expected according to the doctor but for me that's to slow. I told my surgeon yesterday that I was doing 15 pound alternating dumbbell curls and he told me not to go any higher for now. I also told the physical therapists that I will take it from here. The baby weight tricep, bicep and forearm work in physical therapy is nothing that I can't do on my own. On a positive note I'm a cardio animal now. I'm running five days a week. Never felt better. I think by May I should be lifting serious weights again.
To guys outside of the loop I'm talking about my recuperation from ripping my bicep off it's insertion. The surgeon attached it back to the bone with metal anchors.

Mon. Mar. 13th.
Quads,Calves,Light Hamstrings:
Quads: Leg Press-3pl.-20 (warmup),4pl.-15,5pl.-12,6pl.-12,7pl.-10,8pl.-10,4pl.-20 Hack Squat-3 x 10 with 2 plates(short rest periods) DB Lunges-20-12,30-12,40-12 Leg Extensions-90-12,80-12,70-12,drop to 50 for 8 more reps
Trained at a little mom & pop type gym about 50 miles away today.
Was going to squat but my back injury was acting up,so I figured I wouldn`t, as I only have one more leg day before the contest.........no sense risking injury at this point in time!!
Went light on the Hacks, as the machine is old and tough on the knees.
Calves:
Super-Set: {Standing Calf Raise-4 x 15 with 200 pounds {Seated Calf Raise-4 x 12 with 2 plates (did 1/2 reps at the end of all sets)
Stayed light on these also due to my pulled calf muscle, but I think it`s OK now.....just didn`t want to chance it.
Damn,I`m falling apart at the seams!! ;D
Sets were almost continuous and almost non-stop.......we`re talking pain!
Light Hamstrings:
Lying Leg Curls-70-12,80-10,90-8,drop to 50 for 8 more reps.
Normally don`t do hamstrings today, but I love the machine they have so I cranked out some light stuff just to get some blood in the area.
Great pump.........legs were blownup and veiny......calves looked great.
Hobbled out of the gym!
70 minutes total gym time!!

Tues. Mar. 14th.
Chest,Abs,Cardio:
Chest: Bench Press-135-15,185-10,225-6,215-8,200-8,185-10 Incline Barbell Press-135-12,160-10,185-5,155-10 Flyes-40-15,50-12 Crossovers-3 pl.-20,3pl.-20
Was pressed for time,so I had to train as fast as I could..............finished the above in 30 minutes exactly.............hence the lack of reps on the pressing exercises.
I was pumped out,and barely got the reps listed...............very little rest!!
Abs:
Tri-Set: {Crunches-3 x failure {Vertical Leg Raises-3 x failure {Rope Crunches-3 x failure 10 plates
1/4 Situps-1 set to failure
Cardio:
35 minutes walking on an inclined treadmill.
Being pressed for time,I couldn`t do my normal 45 minutes of cardio, but I stepped it up and burned approximately the same amount of calories in only 35 minutes time.
Very intense workout!!
Total gym time: 65 minutes exactly.
