Joel, That's what's really surprising and at the same time ecouraging this year. I am almost 30 pounds over my contest weight and while I am not in contest condition, I am surprised at the separation and definition that is there. Just further confirms Eric's notion that I can come in alot heavier. That is what we are looking to do this year....as long as I don't get sloppy I'll allow myself to grow. At the VERY least, I'll be right at the top of the Middleweights next year which would be a 13-15 pound increase over my contest weight his year. On stage that type of weight gain looks like 25 pounds if you are conditioned right. Keith You should leave Pittsburgh weighing 210. Sounds like there is going to be some heavy lifting at the "Corral"! ;D

Thursday, January 3, 2007 Back from vacation...what a GREAT time!!! First I have to say that Eric and Shelli are two of the best people you are ever going to find. Staying with them was absolutely great, and they made us feel like we were at home from the minute we got there. We can't wait till they come down here after the Nationlas in July. We count ourselves very fortunate to be able to call them our friends! Now to the workouts................ I always thought I had trained pretty damn hard...well,... Eric had me at a completley new level of intensity. I'm still sore from each of the four sessions we did together!!! The guy is a freaking machine....never saw anyone train that heavy, at that pace, with that intensity before! The things I picked up from him are invaluable, and are definitely going to cause a dramatic change in the way I look come this July! Every little thing will be employed in my training, as Eric showed me, and when you train like that you have no choice but to grow! Meeting Eric has been the best thing that ever happened to me in a bodybuilding sense. With everyhting he has shown me in the gym, and with him structuring my diet I am POSITIVE I will step on stage in my best ever shape! And with all he has done for me in a bodybuilding sense...the coolest thing is that he has become the best friend a guy could have! Thanks for EVERYTHING, Eric....you're the best! Keith

Good job Keith. Remember that the weight doesn't matter. It is what you do with it. Always mix things up and never do the same workout two times in a row.
It was also great having you here and Shelli and I are looking forward to coming down in July. Wish you lived closer so we could train all the time. Those were some awesome workouts. Teddy said to say hi and said he still can't lift up his arms because his shoulders are so sore. lol

Thanks Tim........training with Eric really showed me alot about kicking up the intensity. After a week back down here my brother and my son are really hurting, but they both said they can tell that these workouts are really hitting the fibers more deeply and thoroughly than before. This show's going to be so competitive that I really have to pull out al the stops. It would be freakin awesome if you, Eric, and I, would all win our classes up there.

Keith Keith, that would be insanely awesome and if all continues to go as planned, who knows,we might do just that. Eric`s totally correct about using the weights as tools and not just simply trying to train as heavy as possible. I have trained much heavier than I do these days, but using certain intensity techniques and resting less between sets and exercises makes up bigtime for a lack of bone crushing poundages. Of course it`s still heavy for what it is,but the body never knows the numbers on the bar,it only knows pain. Stay focused and we`ll kick mucho ass in Pittsburgh......if not,it won`t be for a lack of trying that`s for damn sure.
