cheers Tim..
yes i am definatly coming in as would of liked too many times in the past i have not dieted hard enough in the first few weeks and then had to make drastic changes at the end this would sacrifice hard earned muscle...
it is 5.00am in the UK as i write this and i cannot sleep it is a night mare.......Tim have you ever found this when dieting???
the biggest diffrence is the inclusion of my newly aquired Silver chain which my wife got me as a 1st anniversary present last week....... ;D

Paul, yes I find it extremely difficult to sleep when dieting for a show as I don`t sleep all the great normally, this just seems to magnify the problem.

Best of luck and success, Paul.
As a beginner I can only guess how stressful dieting can be sometimes and you are handling it well and with great determination.
Take care and again best of luck.

When Paul sent me these pics to post he informed me that he was paralyzed while in the navy in 1996. Just makes these awesome shot`s that much more inspiring.

cheers tim once again for posting my pics up... My training after my accident severly changed i couldnt train for 8-10months after i finally started walking again and it was 2yrs until i could call my self a bodybuilder... i could'nt do a range of movements there are: Squats Deadlifts Bent over row Seated Row T-Bar row any hamstring work as you can see most of my genetics are in my quads ... ;D over the years i have built up my muscles in my lower back and the disks/vertibreas that where effected are slowly getting better or is it that i just train smarter.... my training revolves around a 4 sets per exercise 3-4 exrecises per Body part with reps in the range of 8-12 i found that by lowering my weight initially to do them extra reps/sets my muscles started to respond both in size and quality... at the end of the day it is how you look and feel not about how much you can bench..... i never train a body part the same workout by workout it always changes it is very instinctive.... a normall week plan when i am off-season is this: Mon--Chest/Biceps/Calfs Tues-Legs Wed-Off Thurs-Back/rear delts/traps Fri-Shoulders/Triceps/Calfs Sat/Sun off when i compete i up my training to 6days a week in the last 4 weeks..... things are getting better with my spine although i have a congenetal fusion along with a disorder that is eating away at my vertibrea but hell there is no point crying over spilled milk...... there is nothing i can do to stop this all happening to my back so i might aswell train and be happy than not train and be sad....... so i repeat what Tim said i hope the others in the show are dieting/training hard because i am focused and hungry........(literally)

Very inspiring Paul. It`s amazing the amount of people I meet in this sport who have overcome huge obstacles and adversity around almost every corner. The weights not only build a great physique but theyu also build an iron will, and where most men would quit,we bodybuilders take it in stride and just keep on rolling!! Props to you bro,and I hope the back get`s better or at least no worse. Your training philosophy is very similar to mine as it`s instive from day to day,and even the bodyparts and split are very similar. My one question is,if they are so similar, how come I don`t lok aw good aw you? ;D Stay focused brother,it will be over soon. No prisoners!!

;D well just imagine mate one day i will have your condition..... Bodybuilding is not a hobby for me it is Me!! its who i am not because i compete but because it defines the kind of person i am and i believe every true bodybuilders are the same..... without knowing it we do all form a freindship i have never met anybody from your board Tim but the welcome and encouragement shown by those on the board and you yourself has been amazing (and the public veiw us as meatheads).. my training used to be less instinctive and more static and i found i was getting bored and therfore not enjoying my training so i decided that i would decide what i would train on the day and since i made this small change i have made excellent progress... 13 days to go and it is getting harder.. my dieting has changed somewhat were as Tims idea of carb cycling helped me to kick off my excellant progress i have found that i have had to kick up the dieting a notch for me to come in as tight and dry as i can... from last friday i have been on a diet that consist's of >20g of carbs and >20g of fats along with 250g of protein i will be following this until Tuesday morning where i will do a controlled carb load using simple/complex carbs then back onto the low carb approach for the rest of the week the reason for this is i seem to look my best 4 days after i have refed my body this week is a trail run before the true trail next week......nobody said being a competing bodybuilder was easy.... i have also upped my cardio to 2x 60min sessions a day for this week only....
