I was brought here by Sunshinelynn from another forum. She said that you all are very informative and supportive, which I am looking for. I am planning to compete next year in bodybuilding, and am finding the journey to be both exciting and horribly un-supported. I am not afraid of getting big, I do have a problem with people putting me down for being interested in something out of the norm. But as I am learning, its part of the game, and you have to build up a tough skin! I am currently training 5 days a week Mon:chest/shoulders Tues:back wed:quads Thurs:hams/shoulders Fri: bis/tris Cardio is 3-4 times a week. I am trying to go toward more high intensity sessions and less time, and see if I get better results. I do hate it though, that feeling of *barf* cardio...lol. Abs are done every day...2 exercises. Calfs:about every other day, or third day, I like to keep them up compared to my quads.

Diet: 1) .5c oats raw/ 30g pro from whey/banana 2) 1 cup cooked brow rice/ 4oz chicken/ 1 c veggies (give or take) 3) same as 3 4) Pre wo shake (whey + banana) 5) 4 oz yam/ 4 oz chicken / veg 6) same as 3 or 5 7) IF hungry whey shake
I was given this diet as a reset for the one I had been on. I will be on it for about 4 weeks and then it will change again. Yes, I realize there are no added fats.

Welcome Serene! What class will you be competing in next year? I will be in heavy wt, seeing as its 115# and above that qualifies for that class. Other than that, I was told my stage wt should be 130# Where ever that leave me. Thanks for stopping in!

Hey all! Thanks for being so welcoming.
Yesterday was a rough one for me. And I am not one to miss a work out....but I didnt have anything to give. And it really pissed me off.
I did 1 hr hip hop yesterday.
Today was legs...what a bad way to start a journal
Squats... bar X15 135 X15 225X8 X6 Tried hack...no gusto....tried sled same thing....1 set or single leg dead lifts.... stoped there. How frustrating.
I promise this is not the norm for me. I will be back on it tomorrow.
I think some is the diet hitting me finally, and the other is just emotional. You know when your head isnt in it.

How many grams of carbs have you got in your diet? Its probably that affecting your energy levels. 225 on squats-man thats impressive!

Serene, I have to giggle cause every time I see your name I want jelly beans (tells ya where my head is at ;D)
I had one of those days too, but it seemed to last all week. You still did awesome and 225 for squats, WOW. I wish my gym had cardio classes - maybe it would get me motivated to move this booty a bit more.
