WOTW people I need your help! You know how much I like Christmas! For me, it's never to early for Christmas songs, movies or decorations... but Marie-Eve doesn't completely agree with me about the timing. So we've made a deal: If I can get 10 WOTW people to agree with me that November 1st is NOT to early to set the Christmas Tree and decorations... we're gonna do it! If I cant find these 10 people... I'll have to wait until December 1st! So please, sign this petition to help little Mo have a great 2008 Christmas! hehe! In addition to that, I hope this last argument is going to convince you signing the petition: IT SNOWED YESTERDAY IN MONTREAL!

Mo, you can celebrate any time you want. I am a "one holiday at a time" traditionalist. I do not even think about Christmas until after our Thanksgiving (November 27th this year).
Actually in my mother's family, they did not put up a tree or any decorations until a week before Christmas! Which is too late for me.
Sorry I cannot go along with you on this. Anyway, how about a compromise? Put up some decorations early and the tree on December 1st?
You and Marie Eve should decide ths for yourselves, and not let the forum dictate! Just my opinion.

Gerry, you know me, this petition is just for fun.... at the end, I'm going to find some good arguments and convince Marie-Eve anyway ;D No seriously, this thread is just to know if there are some more Christmas freaks around here, because Marie-Eve and I wont have any problem to set an official date! Let it snow, let it snow... let it snow! Randy, I know you'll be more than happy to sign this petition... so let's go! ;D

Marie-Eve I'm with you!!! November 1st is much too early to set up your Christmas tree!!! (BTW - I think Mo should have to get at least 25 people to sign his petition - 10 is not nearly enough)
Sorry Mo, I have to decline signing the petition. I hope we can still be friends.

My worst fear is transforming into reality.... they TRULY team up together And Jen's suggestion of 25 people is rude... very rude! Hehe! But we can still be friends We both like animals, Wii, Baseball, Randy, sports...

Here 5 reason why November 1st is too early to decorate for Christmas: -There is no snow yet in Quebec -It's the day after the halloween… we do not have started to eat our candies… -Even the stores wont have finished to put their decorations -Maurice sings already Christmas carols -Considering that Christmas movies are on TV until mid-January...its too long ...
Thanks Jen for the support!
I love Christmas... but only until december.... #santasmileyha3#

But... but... ok maybe you are right xx

Ok Mo...here it is: -There is no snow yet in Quebec But it's already extremely COLD! * AND WHAT DOES SNOW HAVE TO DO WITH XMAS ANYWAYS? DON'T THEY CELEBRATE XMAS EVERYWHERE? HAWAII?AFRICA? -It's the day after the halloween… we do not have started to eat our candies… But the candies can make a great Christmas gift idea! * WHAT'S CANDY GOT TO DO WITH XMAS ANYWAYS? DON'T YOU PUT OUT CANDY AND COOKIES AND EVERYTHING AT XMAS? -Even the stores wont have finished to put their decorations But what do they know about Christmas spirit! * YEA, WHAT MO SAID! -Maurice sings already Christmas carols But this is a talent only few have * IF MORE PEOPLE SANG EVERYDAY, XMAS CAROLS OR NOT, WOULDN'T THE WORLD BE A HAPPIER PLACE? DON'T YOU WANT THE WORLD TO BE A HAPPY PLACE M-E? -Considering that Christmas movies are on TV until mid-January...its too long ... But... but... ok maybe you are right xx *BUT ISN'T IT THE XMAS SPIRIT THAT COUNTS? IF SO, SHOULDN'T WE LIVE THAT WAY ALL YEAR LONG? NOW...MY REASONS: 1-XMAS IS A SPECIAL TIME OF YEAR. WE EVEN CELEBRATED XMAS IN JULY ONCE, JUST BECAUSE WE COULD! 2-DON'T MEAN TO GET RELIGOUS ON YOU, BUT ISN'T HE THE REASON FOR THE SEASON? AND IF YOU AGREE, THEN WHY SHOULDN'T HE BE CELEBRATED [glow=red,2,300]IN YOUR HEART EVERYDAY?[/glow] 3-LAST BUT NOT LEAST...AREN'T YOU TWO NEWLYWEDS? CELEBRATE YOUR LOVE EVERYDAY AS IF IT IS XMAS. SET UP THE TREE AND DECORATIONS ANS COUNT DOWN THE DAYS TOGETHER...TO YOUR FIRST XMAS AS A MARRIED COUPLE. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT TOMORROW MAY BRING, AND WHAT IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES? PUT UP THE TREE. CELEBRATE EVERYDAY. NOW...MY STORY FOR YOU: About 5 years ago, a few months before Xmas, my mother-in-law had a severe stroke during minor surgery. Totally unexpected. She never recovered. Was totally paralyzed over half of her body, could not speak, and could not breathe without a respirator. She had global apahsia (couldn't always remember who you are, or where she was at). Her husband, my father-in-law, was also in a nursing home with failing health. We decided that as a family, we would bring Xmas to her in November at the nursing home. We set up the tree, sang songs and exchanged presents. She was so happy, all she could do was cry tears of joy (since she couldn't speak) with all her family and grandchildren all around her. She, nor my father-in-law, never saw December 25th come that year. We are so happy that we had that time together with them, even if the date wasn't December 25th. The moral of my story to you: Mo...Marie-Eve.....celebrate Xmas together every day...through your love for one another. December 25th may come and go...but your unconditional love for one another will live forever. Put up the tree. Lots of love, Frank

Haha, I had a great time reading your comments! Well said Frank and very touching story! I see that Randy, me and you are in the same league when it comes to Christmas! :-p Thanks for the support Steve Joel, Chris, Sully, I only have one thing to tell you: "How I'll hate going out in the storm, but if the three of you really hold me tight, all the way home I'll be warm!" So up to now, I got 5 names on my petition: Randy, Frank, Steve……………. Mo and maybe Chris, because from what he wrote, I sense he is still on the fence :-p
