Hey, thanks guys. I appreciate all the support!!! Where I started to about three weeks out. I'm planning on this song here... www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q-k-uN73GkHere is my plan for the next week... Saturday: 1+ gal. of water throughout the day. Add some salt to food. 1/2 cup Oatmeal and 6 eggs (2 whole and 4 whites) for breakfast and dinner. Rest of the meals in the day will be purely protein rich meals, just chicken breast or lean beef or eggs or canned tuna because of the sodium content. 6 am Fasted cardio for 45 minutes, Noon delt training and 30 minutes of cardio. 6pm cardio 45 minutes with sauna suit. Sunday: Water and diet same as Sat. Last full leg workout Monday: 1+ gal. of water. Add some salt to food. Cut out the oatmeal. 4:30 am 30 min. fasted cardio. Due to work, no Noon cardio. May do some chest, back, bicep and tricep workout then 30 minutes of cardio no sauna suit. Tuesday: 1+ gal. of water throughout the day. Add some salt to food. add back in the 1/2 cup Oatmeal and 6 eggs (2 whole and 4 whites) for breakfast and dinner. 4:30 am 30 min. fasted cardio. 30 minutes of cardio with sauna suit. Wed: 1/2 gal. water. Cut out adding salt to food. All meals in the day will be purely protein rich meals no carbs at all. No fasted cardio. Maybe a last workout doing some legs and other body parts. Just a go through motions type of thing. Do a half hour to an hour walk in the evening. Thurs: Drinks of water with food. 1/2 cup Oatmeal and eggs for breakfast. 9am and Noon No carbs only chicken breast. 3pm, 6pm and 9 pm Chicken breast and potato. Some will do this every 2 hours but I can not because I will spill over. I might be able to do it every 2 1/2 hours but I want to play it safe. Friday: Sips of water with meals only. Chicken breast and potato 6 am, 9 am, Noon, 3pm, 6 pm, weigh in at 7pm 9 pm will be my last meal of the day. I should be flushing out all the sodium and water that I was loading previously in the week. Saturday: Day of SHOW!!! 6am Personal pan pizza. It will take me about an hour to eat it. I don't want to eat it too quick and get a bloated feeling. Put my Dream Tan on. Walk to the auditorium. 9am and every hour after I will eat a rice cake with some natty peanut butter and some honey on it. This will help keep me vascular and hard not flat. (hopefully) Thats my plan and I'm sticking to it. I am not taking any more photos until I hit the stage. I'll be sure to keep you guys posted. No matter what I place I feel like a winner with how great my conditioning has been coming along this time around.

First photo- 160lbs and a 35" waist 2nd photo- 140lbs 29 1/2" waist Today- 137lbs and a 28 3/4" waist It took me 6 months as a plan. I wanted to "cut" slowly so I could maintain as much muscle mass as possible. So far it looks like it worked. As much as I hoped to move up into the lightweight class, it looks like I'll be in the bantamweight division again. No big deal. I'll just move on with life as to what my genes has given me.

Carl, Good Luck. You worked hard to get where you are. It shows. What are your plans for contest color? Neal Dream Tan Red #2 It was a tough long road to get to where I am now. Many problems in and out of the doctors office the past year. I feel great and on top of the world right now though! Main reason why I haven't been on a few of the web sites the past year. But I am back now. Thanks for the support man!!! Great physique! Great job!! Even GREATER attitude!!! Wish you the best!!! I have learned a long time ago... Do not go into a show thinking the best because if it does not happen the disappointment is that much greater. Seriously, even if I don't place I know I tried my best. Thanks soo much bro!!!

Yes, Much of this sport is mental. IMO. I have been on a very rough roller coaster ride through this prep. It is ALL down hill from here on out though. Give 'em hell Carl!!!! Keep us posted! A few years ago I first tried this. What I did wrong was eating it about an hour before hitting the stage. Later about 5 hours I looked in the mirror and saw that I messed up totally. So I tried it again, ate it the night before. I woke up and looked great. But by the time I got to pre judging I didn't look so good. Conclusion: Eating the pizza 5-6 hours before pre judging should be optimal for me. Let's hope anywhey. Thanks for the feedback! I tried the "crap"loading once and it worked great for me. I had a Big Mac about 7:00 pm the night before. Then, a pancake with syrup and eggs EARLY am the day of contest.
Felt great day of show, muscle bellies were full, and vascularity was tight.
It worked for me.

I'm gonna play it safe and do my normal carb load and early morning "mild" crap load. If it doesn't work as planned then, I am doing the Natural Ohio 3 weeks later in Lakewood. Sal Thanks Sal, I took two years off from competing. The past 18 months prior to my recent contest prep I was trying to gain some more size especially my legs. I can say I did. The tape measure does not lie. This is a huge mental uplift for me. I will have TONS more confidence knowing my legs look better than they ever have. Still not the best compared to many but I'm very happy with the progress from where they were.

Keep us posted about your feelings and last minute preps! Try every 15-20 minutes. Someone at work today asked... Dude, is there something wrong? I asked why? Man, every time I look up you're coming out of the bathroom. I laughed. Last minute preps. I think I'll be too crabby to post what I really want to say. Trying to get those last few meals down without drinking is about the worst thing to look forward to.
