Nice going! .watch the cortisone. Too much can eat up muscle and connective tissue- over time that is.

Really??? He says that he uses the smallest dose possible and he's hoping that one shot will do it and I won't need another..as long as I resist being stubborn and doing too much on it when it starts to feel better...I'm guilty of that, as most of us probably are!

You are fine with the cortisone. If you were getting injected like once a week or every two weeks there could be an issue,(or if you are sensistive to cortisone) but most patient's(I am in the health care field) need only one injection and that does it. Even if you need another one no big deal. General rule of thumb, if it were to not work then they would go down another avenue of treatment. Sounds like you kicked butt on the leg wo! Congrats on your PB's on your exercises! #bconfetti2sq#

Hey guys....training is going great! I was really excited the other day to get on the scale and it said 153#, which was down 7#!! I got on yesterday, though and it was back to 160..that's a HUGE shift!! Not really sure what's going on!
My brother got some bad news. He's a college football player..was out last season b/c of a torn labrum in his shoulder..just found out he tore his ACL in his knee the other day.poor kid can't catch a break!
I'm headed to the gym today. I think it's back/shoulders day and some cardio. I need to kick it up with more cardio. I'm going back to the foot guy on Monday. My foot is starting to hurt again. It was feeling great for awhile, but it hurts..not as bad as before, but I just want it to heal!!!
I haven't been being really precise with food, so I need to get back on track with that too..not weighing as much and not keeping track of all of my meals

My husband just experienced the same thing this morning with weight. Sometimes our body does goofy things, could be as simple as a minor change in diet or no reason at all. Stay with the training and diet and see what the next week or so brings! You are doing great so far! #smileygrouplaugh5js#
Also, sorry to hear about your brother.

That's why I never weigh myself. I go only by the mirror.
I'm not sure how often you weigh yourself, but try doing so only once a week if you're not already. This way, minor fluctuations in weight due to water, maybe some extra carbs or a whatever, won't have as much effect on your psyche. You'll know that if you lost 8# one week, it's OK to only lose 3# the next week. Rather than wondering why you're up 3# from Wednesday to Friday, and then lost 15# from Friday to Wednesday. Sometimes we're our own worst enemy....

Id just go by one weighin a week- pick one day and thats the official weighin for the week. since contests are usually on Sat I pick that usually. over time, you will see more consistancy that way. (PS I do weigh myself more often- mostly to monitor food and fluid intake- and for feedback on my training). Just a suggestion.

I've had my foot hurt in the same spot before. Make doing lunges nearly impossible! Have you tried glucosamine and a higher intake of EFA's? They both seem to help me.

Thanks for the advice...I have started taking my glucosamine again and started taking 12 fish oils a day instead of my normal 6. The Dr. said I should be doing about 1200 mg. of ibuprofin a day and he thinks that it should heal up soon. I didn't have to get another shot!
Today was just 45 min of cardio. I'm getting so sick of the bike and the elliptical!

Work outs look really good! I love your drop set! Drop sets are my favorite! How is the diet going this week? Your foot should heal soon, thank goodness you do not need to get another injection at the moment. Those are not fun.

Great job Tara!
Cardio can get boring.
Try to switch it up with some type of classes if they're avialable, like Zumba!
Lot of fun and burns serious calories too!

Sounds really good, Tara. Thinking like Karrie and hoping the foot is better and you do not need another shot.
Good luck.
