so yesterday, my roommate cleaned up most of the downstairs (kitchen, living room, bathroom, pool room/dining room)...most of the crap was mine, so he left a huge pile of papers on the pool table for me to sift through....when i did, i found the grocery money that i had left sitting by the door, as well as $300 that i can't remember withdrawing...there is a bank slip with it that shows that i took it from one of my paychecks...i got real worried, and told him to ask his mom if i didn't pay last month's ... BRB, server about to go down ...

BRB, server about to go down ... ok, maybe i can finish before it goes down... so he asked his mom if i had missed last month's rent, because that is the only thing that i would ever withdraw $300 for (the amount of my rent)...she said that she had received my last month's just fine...i had already given her THIS month's, so i know it wasn't THAT...soooo, it looks like i just rediscovered a large deal of money...good news for people receiving gifts from me!!! ;D but here comes the REALLY good part: since i had already budgeted my christmas expenditure based on what i thought i had (which means NOT the recently discovered $300 dollars), I now have $300 surplus...there are TWO things that i need to buy that are quite expensive, and this would help greatly: 1) finish my tattoo (or start my next one) or 2) buy a new drum set my tattoo is over a year old, and still UNcolored, so I'm thinking maybe THAT...but I'd also like to start my next one... i need new drums, since my kit sucks...i won't REALLY need them until we start touring though, which is gonna be in quite a while...in the meantime, I can stand to use my current setup suggestions? ?

after talking to some friends on another board, I have decided to do this:
1) buy something nice for my friend's dad...when I was jobless/moneyless/carless, he said that I could eat dinner with them anytime (and I did...often)
then
2) put some away into either my money market account, or my mutual fund
THEN
3) save the rest, add to it, finish tattoo

My family usually gives it out to friends...and of course the family. Youngsters like me usually get the 100s ;D

Thats funny lol When I worked in Loss Prevention, I would put my "Best of Jimi Hendrix" CD on, and it NEVER failed, I would catch a shoplifter on camera almost immediately. There must be some weird mystical power.
