I know some our members are beneath the age of consent, and I may sound like your parents but here goes.
Even though you see folks on these boards alot, please BE CAREFUL WHO YOU TALK TO ON THE INTERNET!!!!
Pedophiles lurk everywhere. Tim runs this by invite only, but MuscleMayhem is pretty wide open, as is GetBig.
Dont tell people your age until you really trust them.
Don't tell people where you live, not even the city.
Don't give out your email.
Almost all Instant messaging systems allow you to archive. If the conversation gets spooky, archive it and tell your parents. Then tell the cops.
Personally, if someone reveals to me they are under age I tell them to get thier parents and TELL them they are talking to me. If the kid refuses (none have) I block them.
I don't need the headaches if something does happen and the parents have the right to know who the kids are chatting with.

What prompted me was last weekend, first Sockrocker IM'ed me, which is ok, I know him from here.
Next was a kid who right off the bat tells me he lives in OKC, what gym he goes to, etc.
I freaked and demanded he tell his folks. Not heard back from him since.
I don't know if he was a cop "phishing" or what, but I don't need the hassle. It's hard enough being a single male homeowner (Where's your wife? why are you not married, etc)
Gotta be safe.

i hear ya cave...there are some crazy people out there
for future reference though, i am 19, turning 20 in feb ;D
