Henry was perhaps the best condition guy in the whole show......last year I thought he should have done better also. In this one I would have him no lower than fifth!! Politics again!

I wonder if Ronnie Coleman was there.......that way Alves and Henry could file a police report- they was ROBBED. Tim, you say you don't know how Titus placed ahead of Henry? I don't understand how he even placed!!!!

I hear ya` bro! I saw comparison pics of both side by side on getbig.com and Henry blow`s him out of the water. Titus was in shape but just didn`t have "the look" Dave had...........ie. shape, taper, thickness, etc. etc. etc. Call the cops!!!!!!!

Like Gustavo a lot and he is a great athlete. But he looked like he was two weeks out from the Arnold while Troy was dead on. Troy finally nailed it and should have won, with Badell 2nd and Priest 3rd.
Titus should have been 10th at best!! Henry should have been maybe 4th but no worse than 5th. With Dugdale 6th and Kamali 7th. King deserves credit for looking as solid as he did in 1999.
Mike Morris looked incredible, especially quads and was a place too low.
Of course, just my opinion based on the photos. Know it's a lot different than being there in person.

Completely agree with what's been said:
From the top 10:
Highlights:
Dave Henry, Troy Alves, I would have been happy with either of these two winning. Mark Dugdale looked good too.
Melvin Anthony and Lee Priest needed better conditioning but still looked good. Lee's arms are a standout bodypart but they just seem to overpower his physique - esp. chest.
Lowlights: Gustavo Badell - the price of his additional size appears to be the large distended belly he has in many of the pics. Craig Titus - Loose skin is not a good look. King Kamali - see Badell.

Thank for posting the pics Tim!
Who said that bigger is better? Distended belly should be as penalized as chicken legs or water retention... it's sad!
But when i look at Henry, Anthony or Dugdale i remember why why i love to train and compete...
As far as Priest goes... ChrisC you must admit that even if he needed a bit more conditionning that man is so impressive (like we often hear, he is like a cartoon)... it's inspiring!!!!

Setting opinions aside (after I mention Lee should have won) the fact remains that the nod went to certainly not All Bad/Badell. Gustavo thus becomes the only IFBB pro ever to attain his first win on his 25th try. He also becomes the 64th man to win at least one IFBB pro title since the inception of the Mr. Olympia. During his competitive IFBB pro career so far, he has competed in 25 of the 70 available contests.
