Agree, Tim. Unless a newly turned 40 year old freak comes from nowhere, Lance looks unbeatable in Masters Nats.
The only known quantity in Lance's weight class who would be any competition is Dave Marinelli, if he crosses over. Since there is also an over 50 pro card this year, Dave may just compete for that. Dave looks unbeatable in the 50 group, with Sam McClung as only real threat. But Sam should get a retroactive card for winning last two years, as happened with Don Youngblood.
Overall 40 posedown should come down to Lance and Mike Patton and either John Cowgill or John Cutri (both guys were very close for hw last year).
Just my take, but am sure Lance will prevail.

I agree totally Gery, pretty solid analysis bro!
Knowing Dave I think he`ll crossover but who know`s.
If anone beats Lance he`ll have to be a totally freaky genetic mutant!! ;D
I tried to "steal" some pics of Lance`s class win from Mayhem, but they are all copyrighted, and you can`t save them to your files....damnit!!

LOL, Tim. But would like your opinion on this. I suspect that Dave M plans to cross over.
But suppose Dave wins the over 50 overall and pro status (highly likely). Would he be allowed to cross over, since he would now be considered a pro? I would think not. Of course, if he just wins class but not overall then it's a moot point.
But if you have to apply for pro status, then who knows? Not sure if there is any rule on this, since this is the first year there two masters pro cards. In any event, should be a terrific show.

That`s a tough question Gerry, and one that I have no answer to. I guess we`ll just have to wait and see.
Good luck to all the contestants ,especially Lance and Dave.
Gerry I heard that after the Jr. Nats Lance said that now he might not enter the Masters!!

WOW, news to me, Tim. Will run that by him next time we talk.
In the shape Lance is in, maybe he is considering USA or waiting for Nationals? If he passes Masters, that will change the show entirely! Guess we'll see!

Posted this on General Board also, but I spoke with Lance and his wife tonight and he is still planning on Masters. They have their flight and room booked!
This has been Lance's goal since last year and still is. Looks like a false rumor got started. Maybe Lance said something and it was taken out of context or just misunderstood.
