Looking in great condition Joel..........really tight!!
You won`t have to do too much work to come in ripped and ready, and would probably place well right now.
Good job! #arockon6ha#

Thanks Tim and Mo. I'm trying my best to come into the Natural Northern shredded. Last year conditioning was the most important factor up there so I'm definitely going for max conditioning this year!
Any constructive criticism is welcome!

Thanks, Roger and Beckie. Its a balancing act for sure, trying to get as ripped possible without losing muscle!
I'm wondering if I should cut back on my cardio somewhat. I've been doing way more than I've ever did in the past, 40 min. of intence treadmill daily. Too much?

Eight weeks looks about right, Joel - another 7-8lbs and you should be right on the money condition-wise. If I were you I wouldn't cut back on the cardio just yet. High intensity stuff post-workout - short and sharp, should do the trick. Get as lean as possible and then back off in the last 2 weeks to recover a little and fill-out.

I've coached guys who at 6 weeks out who were not as tight, Joel. Excellent work. Tend to agree with Dean about cardio; I'd stay with it a few more weeks.
Sure you have the posing down, but want anyadvice just holler.

Sounds like what I was thinking! I've had good results with high intensity cardio in the past. Seems to spare muscle for me more than the traditional cardio. Thanks for the input!

I'm not too concerned about my free posing routine but I do need to get conditioned to standing semi relaxed and holding the mandatory poses for several minutes a time!

What's your present training split, Joel and how are you structuring your diet (calories and carb cycling?), supplements etc?

What's your present training split, Joel and how are you structuring your diet (calories and carb cycling?), supplements etc? I train 5 days a week, one major body part a day. Rest on weekends. I used P/RR/S for most of this year. Used Max ot extensively prior to that. I was doing 40 min. treadmill daily up until this week. I decided to go back to HIT cardio and this week I'm doing 16 min. first thing in the morning and 16 min. post workout. I carb cycle, 3 days low less than 100g usually less than 40g. Load on the 4'th day 350-400g. I don't use a lot of supps. whey and creatine are my main stays.

I stayed pretty lean all year I've been seriously dieting for 6 weeks. Things are falling in to place, I just need to be careful not to over do it in the next 7 weeks.
