You have to make the right decision for you Karrie and I understand completely. My IBS has worsened considerably over the last 6 weeks so until my body and gastro system settle down I won't be competing this year either. You've gotta be 100% mentally and physically to achieve your goals!

You've gotta be 100% mentally and physically to achieve your goals! Thanks you SO much for your support Beck! I just do not feel ready and I would like to do better this time around than last time. I know that is NOT going to always happen this way but I would like to pull at least 200 for my deadlift, 115 for bench and squat at least 170-180 and that is not going to happen if I am missing wo's. Did 20 min cardio this morning, 25 tonight. Chest, back and shoulders tomorrow, with OF COURSE cardio!

((HUGS)) You are a smart cookie and know your needs and priorities. Your kids need you and, as a mom, that will always come first. There will be other meets and once you have been able to get back on track with training, YOU WILL ROCK!!!!

Like I said right now I am enjoying kind of "normal" type training. One thing I will say for the powerlifting is that I am ALOT stronger on certain exercises than I was in the past.

Actually I had a long message there, but my log-in time expired as I went to send, and that's all that came out! I actually end up saying more than I should! I saw a T-shirt once that I should have bought. It said: "Lord, keep one hand on my shoulder....and the other one over my mouth!"

Workouts are going well....I am dieting at the moment. I have been for about 6 weeks, but now cutting calories a little more and now doing 60 min of cardio 4 days a week, and that last little bit should come off and my "cuts" will start coming through just in time for summer. ;D Monday night: Legs and arms: Leg press: 270x10; 300x10; 320x10-starting with 320 next wo. Leg ext: 90x10; 100x8x8 Lying leg curl: 70x10; 80x8x6 One leg standing leg curl: These are alot harder to do than I thought. This is only my second time doing them: 30 each leg: 8x6x6 Split squats: 50lb bbx10; 60lb bbx8x8 Bi's: BB preacher curl: 50x6x6x5 Hammer db curls: 17.5x8x8x6 Incline db curls: 8x8x6 Tri's 2 arm over head ext: 35x10; 40x8; 45x6 Push downs: 50x8x8x6 Dips: 5x5x5 Cardio 30 min, I did 30 in the morning too. Next wo is Thurs-back, chest and shoulders

Last night-shoulders and back Did 30 min cardio in the am and 30 min at the gym
I had a REALLY GREAT wo last night: Shoulders: DB side laterals: 20x10; 25x8; last set a drop set-25x8; 20x8; 17.5x6 Military press: 25lb db's-8x8x6 Front lat raises: 20lb db's: 8x8x8 rear delts on peck deck
Rack pulls: After warm up I did 5 sets of 3 and then worked up to pulling one rep and adding weight until I missed. I have not done rack pulls in a while and was surprised at how well I did. Worked my way up to one rep with 265. It was hard but I pulled it. I stopped there.
Calves: Calf presses: This is awesome I began with 450x10; 470x10 and the last set went up to 500x10, AND it was easy! No cheating half reps either.
ABS.
Tomorrow legs and arms.
