Hi folks. Not sure if any of you guys know what the last 18 months have been like for me. Back in April of 2004 I was laid off from Sony. I was a Team Coordinator (basically lower management). I got back into the work force and eventually ended up at my present job, in which I'm the production Manager. Being in charge of my own department is rewarding and challenging, but does have its draw backs. For one thing the company is privately owned by 2 people, one of which is my boss. Its very difficult to make any changes or improvements, if they conflict with his opinion. Sometimes when he agrees, he still holds the proposed change.
Well another opportunity has come knocking. I had a very intense interview today with a top fortune 500 company in the meidcal field. I really really want this job.
So please keep your fingers crossed for me.
I'll keep you posted.

Hey man... I know job interviews suck big time!!! I wish you the best of luck! You'll get hired if it's meant to be! P.S. I have been in the medical field before- if they have any good jobs let me know about them!

I had a job that I liked a few years ago and was down sized. Then I took a job that was ok and the plant closed. I couldn't find a job for about 5 months and settled for one that paid half as much and the work was terrible. I was as miserable as anyone could be. I found a job about 2 months ago and I am VERY happy. So I know exactly how you feel about being happy at work, it means a lot. Good luck and keep us informed.

Respironics is a really good company. Very highly respected. My wife has an interview there on Friday. I work for Medrad which is also in the medical field. Anything in the medical field is pretty good job security because people are always going to need what we manufacture. I really like the company. They treat the employees really well. I am a Senior Electrical Engineer here.

Yes. I will be doing the Masters. I placed 2nd in the Superheavyweight class at the Bodyrock this past Saturday. Didn't really peak for the show since I am concentrating on my conditioning for the Masters.
