Until Ronnie retires, he will always be Mr O! This year he will tie Lee Haney with 8 in a row. And next year Ronnie will own the record outright.
Jay Cutler has as much of a lock on 2nd, so it looks like a battle for 3-6th places.

Unfortuneately you are right. Not that Ronnie isn't an AMAZING athlete, but I don't think there is any way he should have 7 Sandows at this point. In 1998 he probably should have been beaten by Flex Wheeler. And in that time, there's no reason that Kevin Levrone couldn't have won a title too. Now, if Ronnie showed up like he did at the ASC in 2001, he's UNBEATABLE. No doubt about that, but his physique, to me, just isn't pleasing. As far as Cutler, WOW! An amazing man and athlete, but again, I dont' think he should be locked at 2. He was given 2 ASC classics as gifts and should have lost his last 2 to Cormier. I'm just hoping Gunter isn't given another gift. To me the Olympia is th emost disappointing show of the year. I'm hoping to see some new guys break into the top 6!

Good points, Kyle. Still think Jay will be 2nd, as long as he's in shape. I've seen him an amazing shape when he focuses on one show, and that he is what he did this year.
True, that Jay's last Arnold was questionable. But he like others have also been on the receiving end of that. Unfortuantely, this is a subjective sport!

Nice pic, thanks Steve! By the way, this pic reminds me that a 40 pounds Scoot dumbel set dont have the same pump effect on every biceps - at least, if i compare with mine ;D
Hey Kyle, Gerry, talking about the Olympia and the subjective factor… judging by the 2004 Olympia competitor's look, who would you have crowned Mr. Olympia (if you forget about the politics or the athlete's reputation)? I would have choice Dexter, no obvious flaw , esthetics, athletic … like on the good old day (can i say that even if i'm only 26? ;D )

I really wish Yates didn't suffer a career ending injury--- I would have loved to see him be able to keep pushing the envelope each year and compete against the Olympia winning version of Coleman. Those would have been epic battles along the lines of Arnold and Sergio.

I mean don't get me wrong and take my last statement the wrong way, RONNIE is a freak and unbeatable at his best. I do think Dexter got royally SCREWED last time. I'm just excited to see everyone in the O this year. It's going to be awesome to compare all the guys and see if the judges keep their new belly criteria!

Was thinking the same thing, Kyle. Judges should mark down for distensions and gyno. But at that level, who would mark down Ronnie for the belly?
Taking Keith's observation a step further, wish Yates, Haney and Coleman could all have competed at their best. What a show that would have been!!
