Bodybuilding is a sport easy to understand for the average person ;D
Few weeks before my last contest in june, i told someone at my office (not a close friend of mine but a colleague) that i was getting prepared for a contest. So he looked at me (Should i mention that i look like everything but a bodybuilder when i am wering a jacket and a tie) and said "So you will need to START trainning at a gym if you want to gain muscle and stop eating those chicken breast every 2 hours if you dont want to get fat!" ;D So, i took a couple of minutes and explained him the idea of bodybuilding: i was ALREADY training at a gym even if i dont look like the usual 300 lbs bodybuilder, i must eat every 2 hours and try not to GAIN muscle during the diet… but try to RETAIN as much muscle as i can during the diet!
I thought that he understands everything until i saw him last week... he told me "Hey Mo, why are you still eating chicken breasts? You dont need to eat like that and train again now that your competition period is over…"
Huuuuumm, isnt it great to be a bodybuilder in a non-bodybuilder environment? ;D

Classic. I have never competed in bodybuilding but I have friends who have and have felt sympothy for the crap they have to put up with.
The only story I have is when I joined a a gym about 12 years ago with the thought of competing in Olympic lifting. I specifically went to this gym b/c of the platforms, bummpers plates, competition bars etc.. Some salesperson was showing me around and we were looking at the platform area of the gym.
I was asking questions of another staffmember who had competed in Oly. lifting.
The salesperson piped up at the end and let me know that the gym had tanning beds so that If I ever did compete, I could always get some tanning sessions in before the competition.
The other staff person and I just looked at each with puzzled looks on our face.

Hey Mo, you should have said "lets compare abs!" LOL I like the idea Steve ;D, but the last time a colleague of mine saw photos of me, on the same day, he asked me "Why dont you want to come to Mcdonalds with me? You are not fat so it's ok?"… Eeee… it's the opposite… dont eat at McDonalds -> dont become fat. ;D
