I read that he passed away within the past year on the IA board. Can anyone confirm this?
I browsed through my old copy of "Eating For Strength And Development", Norm Zale, 1977, Iron Man Industries, yesterday. I expected a lot of the information to be outdated, but was pleasantly surprised. This book has been very underated and I am the poorer for not perusing it on an annual basis.

I always enjoyed Zale`s nutrition articles as well as his training info.Always picked up a useful tidbit and they were actually well written and entertaining.I also saw that he died on IA but that`s the only referance to it that I`ve seen.Bob ,do you know if Zale`s book can still be purchased ?

You would have to find a collector like Bill Hinbern that had that book. Unless John Balik somehow had some from his purchase of Peary Rader's business.

I do not want to give up my copy, Tim. I don't know if anyone owns the rights anymore, since Peary Rader published it. I know that there is an outside chance that John Balik is somehow involved.
I'm very sad to hear that he passed away.
I vaguely recall some information in Hardgainer about Sergio Oliva, that was attributed to Norm. This was probably at least three years ago. It seems like the story was that Sergio was just a shadow of his former self and steroids were the implied culprit. I do recall that both Norm and Sergio were from Chicago.
