What in the world is going on with these supposed "athletes" dying so young? It seems like a feat for a body builder to live past 60! Steroids? What? This simply can't be all "genetics." Does anybody know if there has been a longevity study done on body building? It's one thing to say "too bad" "tut," "tut," "must run in the family," but this is really shocking.

I agree that these guy`s are just dying way too young.I do beleive that steroid abuse and misuse is a contributing factor in some of these premature deaths. In the case of Whitsett he had heart problems then recently got mugged and robbed suffering a head injury in the process. After an operation he contracted a brain tumor and died shortly thereafter. This is what I have heard on the web from people who spoke with those close to him anyway. All in all if these guy`s keep dying at this rate it has got to make them weigh their decision to use these gigantic amounts of drugs and what it may eventually cost them to do so.
