I have discovered something new. I have gotten DOMS a lot of times over the years, but I can't remember getting IOMS (instant onset muscle soreness) #smileylame7qi# Just kidding of course but I have been sore as heck the same evening after a morning W/O. I have learned for me it really doesn't matter. If I lay off for a few months for any reason and go back I'm going to be sore after the first couple sessions. So I see no reason to go light or slow when getting back to the weights. I don't do things to injure myself or anything, but I may as well get a serious W/O in.

Yesterday,I felt the soreness creeping into my legs...............sore as hell today.
IMO,you might want to rethink that though Mike,as if you are not able to fully recouperate from your workout,it`s kind of a waste.
You only grow while at rest,so if I were you,I would start out easy after such a long time off..........you`re gonna` get sore no matter what, but you must recover for the training session to be productive.
Besides, after not training for that long, going all out could be an invitation to injury.
Just my opinion my friend.

Good advice as always my friend. I'm not really over doing to the point of injury. I can hit the sore muscles in about a week and work out the soreness in a few lighter warmup sets.
