Thanks YoungBlood!
I sure don't feel like a pup Ski. With every year that goes by, I get more aches and pains. Remember when we were young, we could train balls to the wall every workout? Those days are long gone. Now every workout seems to be all about training around injuries. One heals and a new one developes.

Tell me about it Eric!!! Last week,I pulled my left calf muscle,my back was out for 7 months, and is very iffy from day to day,and at times my elbows act up. But..........I still train circles around everyone in my gym,and have done so for years,at many gyms. Not the strongest guy around by far,but when people think I am done,I squeeze out 2-3 more reps. I`ll never learn!! The trick to continued hard training in later years, is to use a motorized wheelchair or walker to get from set to set quicker, thereby creating more intensity!! ;D

Thanks Gerry!
I have about the same injuries as you. I also pulled a calf muscle last week doing leg presses. I also have both elbows and both knees hurting. I think the walker is a good idea. No use in expending energy at our age walking from machine to machine. You should also think about picking up some weight "bit*hes". These are guys that workout with you but their sole purpose is just to change your plates and spot you.

Happy B-Day, Eric...from another "seasoned" competitor!! ;D What I have found myself doing increasingly over time is taking the occasional unscheduled day off. If my body says rest...I do it, whiteout being guilt ridden...as in our youth!! . I warm up alot more on each exercise than I used to as well.

Happy Birthday Eric. Injuries? I now wrap my elbows and wrist everytime I press. I can't press without my wraps!!!
You have a good day Eric. I hope to catch up with sometime.
Where are you training these days?

Thanks Masterchamp and Steve. I brought the injuries on myself by training to heavy for too long. I should know better. I have backed off a a little to give them some time to heal up. I start precontest in about 2 months and would like everything to be 100% by then.
Steve - I am currently training at Olympus gym in North Versailles and Monty Webbs gym in Penn Hills. Monty just opened a new a gym across the street from the old one and it is really nice. Wish it was closer to my house. I would be there all the time.

My son takes guitar lessons over in north versailles over by the big movie theater. Every Friday around 4:30 pm. I occassionally go all the way over to North Vandergrift to this small gym thats great. Otherwise I continue to bang away in the basement. We should hook up one day, but only after I lose some weight, just so I can keep up with you!
