Good Luck Tim!!!!
(I didn't know that there could be more than 20 old farts in one class....figured they'd all be drinking their Geritol in the rest home, or they'd all be dead instead of BBing!!!)
I want results ASAP!!! You too Terry!!! #aplease4kv# #bconfetti2sq# #smileycheeleader9un#

Easy there Gerry, don't want to OD on the stuff. If your lucky, maybe you'll just end up with a Geritol Enema? #bflushsmiley5qk#

Wow! Congrats Tim on your success! Great job! You worked hard and it definitely paid off. Unfortunately, my story is not as successful... I haven't gotten final results, but I didn't place in the top 5.. From the feeback I got, I could have been as high as 4th or 5th(there were 10 in my class-Welterweight-154 to 165lbs) and no one would have argued. I'll post some pics from prejudging later so you can all decide for yourselves. My legs were the best in the class as far as hardness, shape & size, but unfortunately, my upper body was not as full & crisp as the top 3.. I believe this is more due to having dieted down from such a heavy weight than anything else. I am extremely happy with the package I presented, though, as it's way better than my previous show in 1988, and that's really all I was hoping to improve upon since it had been so long since I'd been in shape.. I will now take a bit of time off, stay lean all summer and then start my next contest diet July 8th for an October 7th show. Hopefully by then, because I will have been lean for a while, my skin will have time to tighten up and I will be able to achieve the "shrink-wrapped" skin look that I will need in order to place higher. I DID get an outstanding achievement award presented to me, though, for losing 82lbs in the last 15 months, so that was pretty cool! Don't worry guys, this is only the beginning and there's MUCH MORE to come from this little guy... LOL ;D

Terry,in my honest opinion, the only guy who looks in better condition than you in all of those pics, is the guy who took second.
You look way better than the rest of the lineup.
Great job buddy.....................if I were you,I would stay on the same plan, diet and training wise, and enter another contest in June..................after such a long time away, you will be much tighter by then.
Awesome achievement on the "outstanding achievement" award, as you certainly deserved it hands down, and in my opinion, you should definately have placed also.
Looking great up there bud,job well done!!

Terry, seriously, i'm looking at the pics and WOW… WOOOOW! Best Back, Traps and legs of this bunch of guys! And your conditionning? ON TARGET! Oh and as usual… I LOVE THIS SIDE TRIS POSE! But what is even more obvious… you are a phenomenal POSER! And this achivement award… i cant imagine how someone could deserve it more than you… not only in this show, but maybe worldwide You did this bodybuilding contest, and with no doubt beaten your 1988 physique… but more than that, you turned your life into an healty life and you inspired so much people by doing it… now people have the proof that it's possible… it's never too late! Again...OUTSTANDING PHYSIQUE...

Terry, what about the next contest in April?
If I were you I would not let this deter me as this is a subjective sport and you could easily flip the script in the next contest and place high.
At any rate,do whatever you feel comfortable with, but please consider my statement as I have been there and seen many friends fail to place at one show, and a week or two later win or place very high.

From the pics you posted, I think you should have won. Best posing by far, best conditioning, greatest presentation, and the best physique from what my eyes tell me. Congrats on the Outstanding Achievement award! Also, I agree with Tim, I'd do another contest in the next month, nothing that you have kill yourself dieting strictly for, but something that keeps you on your toes, and staying on your game. Plus that will probably help you tighten up even more. The only thing that I can see you need help on, is the loose skin on your stomach (maybe that's the tightening up you speak of), but other than that your well on your way. Killer rear lat spread (maybe it was the standing relaxed from the rear)!!!

YB is right, Terry! Even with my magnifying glass, can see that you were top 5 material for sure.
The main thing, you ditched Little Debbie and proved what hard work and determination can achieve. Very proud of you, brother. You did win!
