I am doing one more contest on Nov. 8th. in New York City. After that I plan on getting my weight up higher than ever before, to compete next year at the upper end of the middleweight class.I compete now at about 165 .The class limit is 176 .I go up to 178 in the off-season.I will definately try to get as big as possible, and still maintain some semblance of leaness.Last year I talked to a friend,Glenn Chabot, who benches 722 pounds. He told me not to be afraid to eat some junk food after I made sure to get all of my macronutrients in.I did this and looked terrible for it.I feel that I should continue earting clean, but just more food.I will have one cheat day ,and two cheat meals per week, and see how it goes, and adjust accordingly. After all how much actual muscle is an apple pie going to build?I have a lot of good ideas I will try as I must get bigger to be competetive.

722 pounds, WOW! Thats mighty fine!
Goodluck with the size gains - I take it by increasing your bodyweight the competition will be alot tougher?
Which if it is will be a good thing...It can only make you train harder and become much, much better.
After my comp on Nov 8th, i don't think i'll be competing again until well into next year. I just want to bulk up and try my hardest to reach 220 + pounds.
That will be a tough bodyweight for me to reach and i'll need the time to do so. I suppose even though i compete in Powerlifting, i do still have that bodybuilder quality in me and will always have it.
I may be nieve but i do strongly believe that you can be strong and look good at the same time.

I`ll still be in the same weight class, but I want to be at the higher end of it.Ten more pounds of ripped muscle will make a big difference.I would like to get up to 190 or higher, if possible.I just don`t think it would be to my benefit to get too sloppy, then have to diet like crazy.I do think you can look good, and still be a strong person .I`m pretty strong, although I no longer train exclusively for strength.Good luck in your meet, and your quest for 220.Eat like an animal, and train hard brother.

TJ- have you ever read Ultimate Diet Secrets by Dr. Gregory Ellis? If not, you might want to give it a read. It will open your eyes about yourself. You know where to find me shall you want to pick my brain more about the book. Till then (if your interested in reading it), Read this link, which opened my eyes to another aspect of dieting, as well as made me think a lot differently about off season/pre-contest "diets." milossarcev.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Muscle;action=display;num=1057172407
