I got a funny one. Now first off as most of you know I am VERY fond of the squat and deadlift. Well, I was at the gym on a Saturday just kinds fooling around at the end of my chest workout. Just doing some light cable crossovers (21's) which most of you know, I am NOT a fan of. Anyway an 80's washed up bodybuilder type dude (you know the type)came up to me and asked if I was a bodybuilder. I looked at him puzzled and said "NOPE". He said "really?". "You dont compete?" Hmmmmm. My advise to you is to stop playing with these exercises and go do some squats. I had to hold back my grin. With a straight face I said "Hmmmmm. Squat? I dont like those" He said "well thats my advice. You will grow bigger". I said "GEE, Thanks. Maybe I'll do that." What a tool. Cant wait to the day I see him again. Hopefully on leg day. I'll throw 8 plates on and ask him if he wants to work in....

Doing cardio first to burn fat, then workout so you can gain muscle. <== Never actually did this though, lol.

I heard about the Ernie Taylor "Tuna shake." One blender, a can of diet Coke, and two cans of tuna. Pour coke in the blender, add the tuna, mix till smooth. Apparently it's supposed to taste like custard. I don't care if it tastes like chicken!!! I won't be the one to verify the taste!

So powerlifters for the last 50+ years have been doing it wrong? You should know to NOT bounce with a load on your spine, and bending down. A box squat is used to generate power out of the hole. Not build absolute strength.

For me,I guess it would be not being totally aware of just how instintive training is,when I was younger. I think too many guys read an article and that's their new, "best" routine.....until they read the next training article!! You have to find what works for YOU, regardless if it's the "flavor of the month", training wise. I will never tell anyone what they are doing is wrong, as long as it is working for them. Do you know how many times I've been told I was training incorrectly because of all the volume I do?!......by guys who are135lbs. soaking wet,and have never stepped on stage in their life! I used to say, "Yeah, it's just damn luck that I've been winning all these shows! By the way, when are you competing?" As in why don't you die, dry up, and blow away!!

Running is enough for your legs ;D #athumbsdown9vd# You have to eat almost only salads if you want to see your abs ;D #athumbsdown9vd# Seriously, i'm lucky because i've not often been fooled by bad advices… i have always prefered to reed a lot of informations about the sport, experiment and see by myself... so sometimes, the worst advices came from me !

As Keith alluded to earlier,I was one of those guys who changed routines like I changed my socks.........if it was in the new mag,I would drop my present one,and try the new one.
Trouble was,it was always way too much work for a skinny kid like me.............I never ate anywhere near enough either,I was a 98 pound weakling who was gonna` get huge without food as a training partner!! #awithstupid5gf# #smileyspittngwater0lj#

YB, my old training partner (Mr. Jr. Canada) actually tried this and said it was absolutely disgusting. Basically puked his guts out.
