.......more problems with my damn computer!!!

On my wifes right now,but yesterday during a thunder storm,I shut everything down,because last year lightning hit my modem.

Anyway,as I got up and was walking away from my desk,I hear "poof",looked back, saw nothing,but when I re-started it,it kept disconnecting, and pages were downloading really slow.

I fogot I had to turn off the power strip,as well as the tower and monitor so it looks like lightning struck twice for me!! ;D

Went out and bought a new modem after I trained this morning but I`m having trouble getting it set up right..........should be easy as this is the third one I`ve installed........I`ll figure it out as it`s pissing me off and I refuse to give up!!!

Me and my wife will be arguing until I get it fixed so I`ll be working feverishly!! LOL ;D

that sucks.....My hubby had to buy a hummmm I can't remember what its called but its saves the computer from lightening when I get home I will let you know what it is.

I already have a surge protector hooked up...............didn`t help.

Ahhh its a Lightening Rod. we had to get it since where we lived the lightening kept burning up all of our surge protectors and even the battery back up ones. So we purchased one no more problems.
