What can be someone's objective for doing that to himself? I can see any of these reasons: Esthetics, earning respect, winning contest... It's a matter of personnal tastes i guess...
And look at the article: "Seen from any angle these arms are unbelievable"
anyway.

That's as real as a heart attack Sapphire. The guy is probably more well known than Ronnie Coleman now, just because his arms are/were inflated with Castrol Syntec! |

I read part of an interview with him and if I am not mistaken, he is proud of the way he looks.

I suppose there becomes a mentallity from some people that they just want to be bigger than everyone else, that or different to everyone else.
It might be more of a psychological disorder than we think
