The REAL Sicario, David "El Sicario" Vargas, (I'm just his PT, LOL)just won his 12th straight fight tonight by TKO in the fourth round. He had the other guy down in the first round, and three times in the fourth when the ref finally stoped the fight. I'm gonna give you all some background on this kid, because you'll all want to remember his name. I've been working with David for two years now, and in our first year of working togeather he became the UNDEFEATED state and national full contact karate champion. After deciding that "full" gave out nice trophys, but no money, "El Sicario" decided to give boxing a shot. In a year that he has been boxing he is UNDEFEATED in 12 fights (counting tonights victory). Not a long record yet, but three of those fights already stand out. Last summer he beat the Spanish Bronze Olympic medal winner from the Barcelona games. A few months ago he beat the Romanian national champion (who had over 80 fights), and last month he beat the State champ, which would have given him the right to take his place in the Nationals, but since the "games" were scheduled right around when his son was due to be born, he passed on it. When his father brought David to me (his father was one of my first "trainee's" when I came to Spain 11 years ago) I had never worked with anyone in Martial Arts or Boxing, so I figured "what the hell, I'll train him and feed him like a bodybuilder" and it's working so far. I dropped him down some thirty pounds since starting out, and he's one of the leanest and strongest fighters in his weight class. Just wanted to share this victory with you all, and remember the name David "El Sicario" Vargas, this is the kid who is going to take me all the way to Vegas someday, LOL, Vin.

Thanks a lot Tim. You know, besides being an outstanding athlete, this kid is a real pleasure to work with. He never questions anything I tell him to do. If I say "do this" he does it. If I say "eat this and not that" he does it. Wouldn't it be nice if all trainee's did the same, LOL, Vin.

Damn Vin thats such an achievement, your fighting PUP should be happy with himself and so should you for putting him where he is. 12 fights in a row is insane! You'll have to give me some tips some time in case my big mouth puts me in a position I'd rather not be in.

You know pup, I'm really hoping that you can make it over to Spain next summer. If you do, you can come to the gym and work out in the morning, and then go with David to his boxing gym in the afternoon. He can give you much more tips on fighting than I can, as I only handle the weights and nutritional aspects of his training. I leave the boxing to the boxers, LOL, Vin.
