As of today I'm a new member of Lifetime fitness. Pros 24 hrs a day tons of cardio and workout equipment cons 20 mins from my house but 10 from work
I'm happy to leave the golds near my house because of the hours of their operations and also the fact they don't GET new cardio stuff. I've been going there for like 8 years and they still just fix the old ones and not replace or upgrade. So, how do you guys adapt to new gyms?

As of today I'm a new member of Lifetime fitness. Pros 24 hrs a day tons of cardio and workout equipment cons 20 mins from my house but 10 from work I'm happy to leave the golds near my house because of the hours of their operations and also the fact they don't GET new cardio stuff. I've been going there for like 8 years and they still just fix the old ones and not replace or upgrade. So, how do you guys adapt to new gyms? i just joined a new gym. its 50,000 sq/ft. as compared to my old gym, which was 1,500 sq/ft...its quite over whelming. im adjusting just fine. its a 10 min drive from home, but they are all over by my office so i can use those when i wish. never heard of lifetime fitness, but they are building a 67,000 sq/ft LA Fitness across from mine, which will tote 2 large pools and every other ammenity you could imagine...all for $35 a month. adapting is going great, im shockingm y body with all these new pieces of equipment. been there for 1 week and already hit a deadlift PR! my old gym never had a power rack, so rack deads were never part ofm y routine, but ive read numerous articles they will help in overall deadlift perfomance, so...i guess theyre right! good luck on the new gym!

My old gym was all on one level but my new gym has 3 floors of weights-i have to walk up 3 flights of stairs to do legs..... Doesn't worry me too much,a change keeps my mind refreshed else I get stale!

when switching to a new gym ....i have to redo all the routine and supersets i plan on. why? because some gyms put their equipment in different areas. Sometimes a machine and another piece of equipment could be HELLA far away to superset....and so i need to adjust the routine for THAT gym.

I usually dont have to "adapt" to a new gym because i very like to try new places! In a new weight room, i'm like a kid in a candies shop! Even if it's important for me to have a regular gym, i sometime just buy a one day pass to a different gym in Montreal just for the fun of trying a different place! Am i the only one doing this??
