Been a crazy week folks but here it is Sunday and i'm headed out to mow the yard and get the back cleaned up before the heat fires up.
My annoyance is this. Headphones/earplugs and using them as an excuse to be rude. I'm not at the gym to talk eather, usually you get a head nod or a wave from me at most. HOWEVER, blasting them so loud that I can hear them and then using that as an excuse to close everyone out is another. Moreoever, it aint safe. In a hard core gym like mine with everyone packed in you gotta be aware of whats going on around you. These folks just zone out and ignore everyone.
As a gal in my AA group who trains for fitness events says "I used to think they were strong and determined. Now I think they are self centered and closed off"
Fun Stuff. Was contacted by an up and coming mag looking for folks to follow from gym rat to competitor. I filled the bill, i guess thats a complement. We will see.
Zeppelins. OKC is rolling in gas and oil money again, but with a new generation thats far more civic minded, plus our state and city gov is banking it, using it to entice long term investment. Hence Dell, MG Rover, the Sonics all coming to this state. Still there seems to be plenty of bucks left over for the odd indulgence. In this case I'm on a side street waiting for the light to change when the biggest damn Mercedes I've ever seen glide by. It looks like the old Hindenburg isself gliding by. When I get home I hit the MB USA site. What I saw was the New 2007 S-550! Evidently one of 4 sent here, it uses the body shell of the "smaller" Maybach. Bigger than the long wheelbase Town Car, it comes with electro chromic glass roof, so important for those parade events, power window curtains for rear seat privacy, etc, etc.
Price? TBA and I wouldn't want to know. I gotta win that Powerball!
Brock
PS, I still wanna know who bough the Ford GT off the showroom floor at Bob Howard Downtown. All the guy changing my oil would tell me is that he paid with a cashiers check (300 grand!)
