Trainer Tom missed another session. the 4th one in 2 months. What adds insult to injury is he called me FROM the gym, announced he could not train me due to " a family thing". I offered to drop everything and rush over - it's just 10 minutes- and was told "no, I'm doing my own workout and then leaving".
Whatever happened to "clients first, then take care of yourself?"
So, do I fire his ass or what?
Trust me, I had alot of rage energy to expend yesterday and today.

If you're paying for services not rendered, then fire him for sure.
Up to you if you want to give him a final warning, but four times he has more than struck out. There must be another more reliable trainer looking for work. Sorry to hear of your trouble, Brock.

I'm a trainer and I can tell you I would never do that to a client! Find another one that is more reliable

he's getting a final warning tomorrow. In the meantime I'm talking to Brandon Hodges , who does my nutrition, to see if he has a slot opening up in the evening 2 x a week.
What frustrates me is he does not get the fact I'm a bodybuilder. Tom's a fitness trainer and so thats how he treats me, as a fitness client, not a work intensive bodybuilder.
YEESH!

Brock, many BBs are also certified personal trainers. Need to find someone with that mindset.
Maybe place an ad for one with the qualifications and schedule you're looking for (or post a notice if the gym has a bulletin board) and shop around.
When you do hire a PT, put it down in writing what you expect, rates, etc. so there is no misunderstanding later.

No final warning. Drop him like a bad habit. Doesnt even have what you need.... Be careful in choosing a new one. Find someone who gives results.

That's 2 problems you gave right there. If he's a good trainer, he needs to be able to adapt to his clients. I worked as a personal trainer for 3 years and the VERY few times I had to miss I let my client know 5-7 days in advance, at the LEAST! I mean, extenuating circumstances happen, but not 4 times in a short period of time. Hell, my dad has run a baseball school for over 10 years and I dont' think he's EVER cancelled on a client other than being sick 1 time and he called them the night before and had every student rescheduled later that week. Find a trainer that will suit your needs.

I cast my vote to ditch him too. Not only does he not show up, but he isn't even training you for what you really want when he does show up. I'm shure you can find a ton of people who would do a better job all the way around. Vin.
