Jim Lorimer and Arnold Schwarzenegger are both very excited because in a special twist, the athletes are being encouraged to have themes and use props for their routines! For the first time, the IFBB body building athletes are allowed to wear costumes and use just about any prop they would like (with the exception of using live animals or another human) to embellish and liven up their routines! I LIKE bodybuilding. I don't like watching men on stage dancing and posing in skits with hats, costumes, etc. That's NOT bodybuilding, that's cabaret or something else. If you agree, let them know you don't like the costumes + props idea!! www.arnoldfitnessweekend.com/contact.asp But you know what worries me more? Apparently a lot of "fans" think this is a good idea!! Including Ron Avidan the head of getbig.com. *moan_in_pain* What is happening to the sport? TJ - what is going on here?! Read these threads, and you'll see a number of people suggesting it's a good idea!! www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=2434;start=15www.milossarcev.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=News;action=display;num=1078276005

The people suggesting it`s a good idea will be sorry if it`s implemented in the long run, as I think it can only be a big step backwards for bodybuilding. The posing today is terrible as it is, with a few exceptions. This move will only make it worse, and put the sport on a cicus level .Bodybuilding is supposed to be an art form, as far as the display of the physique goes anyway, not a vaudeville act! WWF here we come!!!
