This from another board about mens pre-judging:
Hey guys, just got back from the prejudging. Darrem and Johnnie Jackson are one and two. My guess is Darrem. 3rd and 4th seems to be between Rodney St.Cloud and King Kamali.
Fighting for 5th are Brian Chamberlain, Jason Arntz and Marcus Haley.
Others possibly in the top 10 seem to be: Craig Richardson Will Harris Joel Stubbs Luke Wood Art Atwood
Craig was off, Will was harder in some poses than others, Stubbs has a huge upper body but very weak wheels.
All the top guys were in really good shape.
Just my observations based on the symmetry and muscularity rounds.

From Flexonline:
Darrem Charles emerges victorious in Atlantic City:
It was almost like history repeating itself. Fortunately for Darrem Charles the ending was different this time around. After three runner-up finishes this year, Charles finally hit paydirt, toppling Johnnie Jackson to win the Atlantic City Pro on Saturday.
The win was a role reversal from three weeks ago, when Jackson got the better of Charles at the Montreal Pro Classic. "We're all training to come out on top," Charles said. "You just never know what's going to happen.
My goal was to win the other shows but I didn't." "The whole conversation with beating Johnnie, I don't get into that. If the judges have him first, he's first until the next show. He's not a co*ky guy. We're all pros and anything can happen on any given day.
Today was just my day." With the win, Charles now has won at least one show a year for the fifth consecutive year. After the three runner-up finishes, combined with an eighth at the Arnold Classic and a fourth-place finish at the Europa Super Show, that streak appeared to be in jeapordy in 2006.
"I always try to keep confident," said Charles. "Once I'm competing I'm always thinking the next show. I was hoping that the year wouldn't go by with me not winning one." From the outset, the show was clearly a two-man race between Charles and Jackson.
But Charles came to Atlantic City in superb condition, and his conditioning proved to be the difference. "I still feel good," Jackson said. "It's always a pleasure fighting at the end with him. I've got the Olympia next week, and now I'm focused on that."
Rodney St. Cloud placed third to earn his second Olympia qualification (his previous appearance was 12th at the 2003 event). Marcus Haley and King Kamali finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
On the women's side, Julie Palmer won the Fitness title while Lisa Aukland earned her first bodybuilding win as a professional.
Palmer edged out Angela Monteleone-Semsch and Stacy Simons, while Aukland beat out Helen Bouchard and Tazzie Columb.
The top three from both fitness and women's bodybuilding earned qualifications to Olympia Weekend.
"I'm absolutely thrilled," Aukland said. "It's always a dream to win a pro show. I never really thought I would win a pro show, so this is just icing on the cake."

Great to see guys like Mat DuVall and Will Harris on stage. Sorry that Art did not place better, but that's how it goes. Darrem and Johnnie did look super.
And for Greg Rando and Don Long, much respect for their strong wills and inspiration.

Guess I am also missing something, Sal. Have seen Luke compete twice and both times I thought he was placed too low.
Wish I knew why?

RE: Luke Wood...I've been wondering the same. Why does he consistently place so low? The guy's development is astonishing and he seems always in top contest condition. I'd be interested in seeing some of the comparison photos also...I'd like to see what's missing (if anything)!

Thanks for the placing Andrews and thanks for the pics Tim! Am i wrong or it is a come back for Mat Duvall? I thought he was out of bodybuilding and reoriented is career? Mo,Mat got into professional wrestling...he also owns his own construction company as well. He said on another board that he missed bodybuilding........................nasty pec tear as well as a torn bicep which I think hindered his placing as he looked pretty good.

And for Greg Rando and Don Long, much respect for their strong wills and inspiration. if you've seen Art from the side, you see why. Very sway backed with a pronounced curve that actually makes the top of his pecs horizontal. It's impressive as hell to look at but evidently judges dont like it. As Ben Pitre put it, "It just ain't right"

Thanks, Sal IFBB seems to have this wierd bias against "imports" and seems to feel they need to "earn" the higher placings that they seem ready to take. Everyone was surprised at Dennis Wolf's 7th place at Europa.
