What a wedding i must say. The wedding was on Saturday however all the festivities began on thursday. Thursday was the rehersal then the dinner. After that the bachler and bachlerette parties began together. Yeah strange i thought but it was actually fun. We all started at a Dave and Busters for drinks and food. Yeah needless to say i had diet coke and tuna packets for my drink and food selection. From there we all went and played demolition ball. Basically you have 2 teams of 5 in bumper cars. Each person has a hi-ly racket. The object is to take a wiffle ball using the rackets and score a basket like in basketball. All this while being bumped around in the bumper cars. Sounded weird at first when i heard about it however this game was a total blast. Then from there it was back to dave and busters for more food, drinks and games. Then the storms came rolling in. From then till into the next morning the had tornadoes touching down all around us. From what i heard there were 70 tornadoes spotted that evening. Can you say dodged a bullet there. Oh yeah forgot to add that the tuxes were supposed to be in thursday and they didnt come in yet. Can you say panic from my brother and his soon to be wife. Friday was paintball and go cart racing between the 2 parties. I however skipped out and took my kids to see the arch and to the science museum. They loved it. Oh yeah the tuxes finaly showed up on friday afternoon. Well Saturday roles around and its raining to beat the band. The wedding wasnt till 4:30 so we had time for it to move out.
the wedding was an outside wedding. It was also unreal. they had a harpest playing music prior to the start of the wedding. An as luck would have it the sun came out jsut as the brides mom started down the walk. The dinner was your choice of chicken or prime rib cooked 3 different ways. Yeah prime rib, brides family has more money than they know what to do with. It was also all you can eat chicken or prime rib at that. You could have it smoked grilled or baked and yes i had the prime rib grilled and smoked. Then they had a clown for the kids then at 8:30pm they had a fireworks display. An i'm not talking go to the store fireworks. I'm talking major fireworks display. Better than some cities have on the 4th of July. Can you say fairytale wedding. I got a little pieved at one point because i must have stuck out like a sore thimb. I had 3-4 people come up to me and want training advice and diet advice. Now normally i wouldnt mind but i'm trying to enjoy my brothers wedding and have a good time here people. Between the plane tickets hotel rental car and everything else, this wedding cost me over a grand and i want to enjoy it. All in all it was a great time. there were some outside issues with my ex step mother, however i just avoided her for another time. I have major bad blood with her. thats another story though....
My son at the wedding was a riot. He had a blast, he was out on the dance floor shaking it with everyone. He was killing me. He was get'n down with all the girls. I and my wife was cracking up watching him. My daughter was out there showing everyone what 8 years of dance lessons has done. Can you say locked in room till she is 30. Oh lord help me!
I know its long so if you took the time to read it thank you! Forgot to add i stuck to my diet 100%. Didnt cheat at all. Carbs under 30g/day the entire time. Man did that cake look good too. My wife said it was delicious. Tuna packet please.....
