I think some of that's true, but it is exaggerated as well. They don't really know an exact number as to how many people have actually jumped off off it, but very few actually get off in the middle of the day. There are routine checks in cushmans that drive by every few minutes or so, making it very hard to jump- though it has been done. During the night, many people have snuch around the simple chainlink fence and plummeted to their death, but again, the exact number is unknown but thought to be around 1000 since 1936. To me, it's a big pain in the ass!!! $5 to cross each time you go south bound, and not enough lanes for traffic. I could go on and on, big suffice to say it's a pain in the frickin' booty!!!

I was doing some research and many people, over 1,400* have comitted suicide. I read a story about a kid who jumped and survived. he gave his story, and it was very compelling.
