Well the good news is that since the last time I posted an update, David "El Sicario" Vargas has won two more fights, which puts him at a very respectable 15-0-0. Both on TKO's. So the bad news is that he injured his wrist in the last fight, which has me worried about his next fight on the 24th of this month. This last fight wasn't even supposed to happen, as David was in the crowd watching the matches, and there was a last minute pull out, so the promoter went into the stands and asked him if he wanted to fill in. The other guy is the three times Spanish Nation champ with over 80 fights, and his original opponent simply "chickend out." David only had 10 minutes to get ready, and neither his trainer, his manager, nor I were there to help him get ready. Subsequently, he had to wrap his own hands, and that's why he injured his wrist. It's almost impossible to wrap your own hands correctly, and while he did the best he could, it wasn't good enough. I'm always nagging him not to take these last minute fights, but he's got so much "energy" always stored up it's almost impossible to keep him from pulling "stunts" like this. I've got him icing the wrist three times a day and taking the entire week off from the weights in hopes that it will be healed by the 24th. I'll keep you all posted, wish us luck, Vin.
