Okay. Every year I put on some "winter" weight. Every year I stuff myself into my pants thinking that some how they are going to fit like they did in the summer. WRONG!!! I always end up feeling like a sausage!!!!! I actually broke down and got some pants in larger sizes to accomodate my fatness.... Scares me though. I feel like I am giving in... Uh oh!!!!

Over the past few years, my wardrobe, among other things, has expanded!
I now have pants that range from a little boys size 16 (Contest time-I call them my "one week pants") to a size 44 waist (That is where I started 3 years ago, ergo..."the fat pants").
I'm not giving in. I feel I'm evolving. I have transformed from 185 lbs 44 inch waist...to 185 lbs off season...30 inch waist.
I do what I gotta do!!!!
Whenever I need a "reality-check", I put on my posing suit, and look in the mirror. The mirror NEVER lies!
You're doing fine. Welcome to the "Transformation"!!!! ;D

Ok Rubicon- I"ve seen your pics- you got nothing to worry about with that waist of yours!
I understand what you mean too- I never thought I'd be one of these guys whose pants fit because the pull them low so the stomach can hang over... BUT since I'm bulking now and put on about 11lbs.... it's gotta go somewhere ;D

I know the feeling all to well!!
The only satifiaction that can be felt is when youhave to go up in size but not due to the waist! I had to buy some new jeans the other day and I got a little depressed when I couldn't get the size I wanted to get past my thighs. I'm thinking Oh God did I pork out! Then I got the next size up and they went on but with a huge waist and a load of extra room in the back. So I figure if the waist is not getting filled out and the legs just don't fit then I'm doing something OK.
The other test I found was when I dieted for my last show and my "contest jeans" would no longer fit in the legs either! That indeed was a good feeling.
The unfortunate part of it all is I have some perfectly good jeans that may never fit again until this ride is over----but I think for most of us that will never happen.

I put on my other jeans and felt like I was wearing spandex... My new ones are big in the waist but that gives me more room for Oreo's ;D

The Oreo's work better if you eat them right before bed. This gives you the full on FAT affect

Y'all are lucky! My meds have made me low level insulin resistant. I simply cannot afford to "let go" and even my so called cheat meals tend to be healthy. It makes it hard to bulk but it is nice to see some of my gut go away even in winter. Getting on Lopid for my triglycerides has helped as well.
I do like the Hershey sugar free special dark chocolate, tho.

you should try squeezing into a pair of those 'skinny' jeans that are all the rage right now! #arollseyes3zc# I'd look like a walking tree trunk on a good day and on a bad day my butt would split the seams #bcrazylaugh4ua#

I hear you brother, "fat pants" are great when they fall down without a belt, and can be a real drag when they start to get snug. Right now, after vowing to keep my weight down all winter long, am fitting "just right" into my "fat pants" which is not good!!!!!!!!!!! However, after deciding not to get depressed about it (which is not easy to do), I have decided that as long as I can still fit into them I'm within "striking distance" of my target BF % which is still acceptable, although not what I had originally planned. My goals have now changed from staying lean all winter long to not blowing out my "fat pants." Not much of a compromise, but I confide that if this "old guy" can stay within "striking distance" I can pull it off one more year. You are much younger than me, and a lot more bodybuilder than I ever was when I compeated, so I have no doubts that you can get back in contest shape when the date rolls around. My only advice to you is to try and stay within "striking distance" which means NOT buying any more "fat pants" and doing what it takes to not "blow out" the ones that you have now. Good luck, Vin.

I promised myself that I would not allow myself to get fat this year! So far so good! But I have to stay conscious of what I eat everyday, I can get by with occasional cheats but I try to keep it under control. So far I'm hanging around 206lbs. about 10lbs. over my contest weight.
If you check out my before pics back in my contest training journal I was FAT! I absolutely do not want to look like that again! #bhomersimp5yy#
