Awhile back I signed up for this program, many of you have probably heard about from your local bank, called "Keep The Change" at my local BofA.
Well, I thought it was a good idea, but obviously did NOT understand the specifics of the plan. At first I was under the impression that if you spend $25.23 on a meal, that the bank will deposit 73 cents into your account. The bank just giving you money? I wonder how much they're giving out daily? This is a great plan! Well, I noticed my account balance getting really low, and lower and lower. I'm about broke now. WTF? I check into things, to make the story a bit shorter for those that actually know my ending, and I discover they are debiting MY SAVINGS account, and depositing the money into another account of mine. So, while this might be a great idea, for someone who uses NOTHING but his debit card all day, every day, it can play with the balance of his/her finance accounts drastically. I think I was pulling out up to $10/day and not realizing it. So, in my head I thought my balance was cool, and all of a sudden my money's gone!!! :-o While it was to think I was getting free money from the bank, it's not as fun to realize that I was an idiot in my thinking all this time. #aseeingstars5gt# #bfallinganvil1er# #bheadbangsmiley7rd#

I hate banks. I deal with a credit union. They may be slower to update the online statements, but I tend to pay less in fees and get much more personal service.
