No not THAT Dark Side!
I mean powerlifting! Or as Eddie, the coach of the Weight Room team calls it, the Enlightened Side.
It seems I'm closing in on the max amount of weight Tom can comfortably train me with. Add to that the fact that he cut short our training today because he "forgot to eat" and Ive decided it's time to move on. Even a couple of other trainers were kinda peeved at him over that.
So , right now the team is training for a meet at the end of January, will take a week off , then start up around the 15th. They invited me to start out with deadlifts with them as a mass building exercise and see where it goes.
IN two weeks Tom and I will work out my one rep max for squat and bench. That should give me a baseline for everything else. Then I can start training with the team and snooping around for a true bodybuilding trainer.
As an Aside I ran into my friend Jeff with the heart condition. He's on beta blockers and is improving, getting his stamina back. So maybe I can get him into lifting again.
Thats all the news from my end. At least what I can talk about on this board. ;-)

When I read the title, I was ready to lock the thread, as per request of ProBoards and our fearless leader. Damn....would have been my first actual act as a moderator! Damn you people, can't you all go out and smoke some crack and come to the board for a night of debauchery? Sheesh! You know, I have NEVER been to Get big.com. They got enough bad press from Muscle Mayhem that I figured it was someplace I never wanted to visit. MM was bad enough but at least there were some entertaining threads and now that most of the losers there have moved on to MD's forums, the pro's are returning.
I do miss the flame wars between Tom Prince and Craig Titus, tho I imagine Tom kinda freaked when he realized that when Craig would talk about popping a cap in TP's ass he really meant it!
PS. No one smokes crack anymore. the hot thing is PNP for Party and Play. Crystal Meth and cialis/viagra. I kid you not. It's amazin what you hear counselling newcomers in recovery. Makes my drunken revels look like quiet night out.

Brock, I consider Get Big a cesspool. Have not been there in about 2 years. if you don't want to get dirty, stay away from the mud!

I like those a lot as well. I used to be a reg at Shawn Ray's board too, but the place lost it's appeal somehow. BTW ... There's also a great little-known bb board at www.coldquads.com/board2/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl that is one of my faves ...   ;D |

Ok guys... GETBIG.com is where I got my start on the boards ;D under the name "denvmuscle". Well I'm "all growed up now" and don't go there too often- I prefer boards like this one. Getbig is fun once in a while---- gotta always see who "owned" who threads GERRY!!! Why didn't you tell me about the board you mod on?  ? I'll get there soon. Milos' board is awesome as well!! Lots of quality guys there- check out my Spanish buddy Jimmy Atienza on there sometime. Mike |

GerryT, thanx a lot for those awesome linx. I shall definitely check them out and register on MMI powertraining. Never really bothered to go on GetBig because i believe it totally sucks. I ain't much fan of MD boards either. Lot of GetBig filth has migrated there. Sorry, if I have offended anyone with my comments but that's the fact. I believe DaveDraper forums are quite good too.... since i have always been a HUGE fan of the one and only Blonde Bomber. #bowdown3ht#

No offense, cuts. Actually, I agree. And the Drapers (Dave and his wife Laree) are really terrific. Met them several times, and the site www.davedraper.com is top notch. Dave fully credits Laree for making him an internet celebrity! And he looks fantastic at 64!! |
