My Denver experiance

Well folks, I am currently on a buisness trip out here in Denver. I live in pgh, so Denver is an experiance.

First let me say I feel great. I was sick for awhile (before the trip, see mono thread) but now I feel great.

Hoopie, and all you other hunters would love it out here.

Last night I went to dinner at a restaurant called "The Fort."
They serve wild game and dress in period costumes from 1835. The restaurant looks like an old western style fort.

I had Buffalo, but I also tried Buffalo tongue and of course "Rocky Mountain Oysters."

They were surprisingly good!

Tonight I went to another restaurant that was established over 150 years ago.
I had Yak, Quail, Ostrich, rattlesnake, and alligator tail.

All very very good. Hunting trophies were hung all over the wall, from elk to zebra, and a lot of trophies too.
A rather interesting place.

Just thought I would share that with you all!!!

You can keep the tongue, and the "oysters," but I think I would try all the others.

Have a hard time breathing at that altitude? I never did, at least not like some do at that high up. I think every one that I was with hadn't run in years, unless it was from the cops- maybe that's the reason too!

I owned a home in Colorado Springs for awhile, and used to vist Denver all the time.
Hung out at the Tri-State Buddhist Temple a lot.

There is a Chinese Restraunt next to the Temple that serves the best Chicken Yaki Soba ever. Good stuff!

Hated the drive in the winter because they occasionally close the pass around Castle Rock, and you get stuck there, with no place to go, until they open the pass again!

WONDERFUL TO HEAR YOU ARE FEELING GOOD!!! I am also curious to know how breathing is doing in the altitude.

Trying new restaurants is soooo much fun and interesting at the same time!!!! Sounds like you are having a GREAT trip!!!! So great to hear!!! ;D

Hey man- wish I'd known you were coming! How long you here for? I live here in Denver and it is a great place- I'm ALMOST a native.

The Fort is an interesting restaurant and definately a "must-see" for everyone.
