Well as some on the borad know my wife has been looking for a new job as her boss was always condecending and belittling, etc. Well it turns out she will be getting a new job.
Were not sure where or when just yet but they let her go last night.
She had worked there for 20 years with one break for 6 months to finish school and one time she took another job but they begged her to come back.
She was a bit upset but all I can say is Thank Goodness. There were too many times she would come home and cry because the treated her badly and made her feel stupid.
The Dr offered to give her a good reference and all that jazz. It wasn't because her perfromance wasn't good but they said "It just doens't seem like your happy working here anymore." Well not SH!T you treat people like they're beneath you, etc, etc
Anyway, I know this is a huge blessing in disguise. Now she won't be tempted to pass on a job opportunity because she's making a dollar or two more per hour or that she has Fridays off. I know this is going to get her moving in the right direction. Money may be a little tight for few weeks but it's manageable. At least I hope it is!! ;D
Just wanted to share and had to say that even if it seems like the clouds are getting ready to rain, a rainbow is just around the corner.
"If it wasn't for the rain, would you love the sun???" Ekoostik Hookah

Great post, Jeremy. Sounds like this is what she needs to find a job in a more pleasant environment.
Wishing her well. This should work out in the long run.

Sometimes change is good...this is definately one of those times Jeremy.
No one who puts in their time and does an honest days work should ever be belittled by some pompous jerk who calls himself the boss! #smileyonsoapbox4jy#
Really pises me off the way some people who call themselves professionals conduct themselves!!
All the best to her..............I`m sure she`ll end up happy, and much better off in the end.

Sounds like you are right about the mixed blessing. I can tell you from personal experience that a career/job change is one of the scariest things an adult can do, but ultimately one of the most satisfying

BTW Great attitude!! ;D

When one door closes, another one opens. It's always scary stepping where we have never been before but often the rewards are so amazing we wonder why we didn't open the door ourselves a long time ago. All the best in her new adventure

My wife is my hero, and in 10 + years in the same company she has gone from a part time file clerk to the Operations Manager.
But due to some similar issues, she took a downgrade and took over the fiscal department. The working conditions are a little better, but still WAY TOO MUCH STRESS. She has wanted to quit for a few years now, but that would not be a sound financial decison for us right now. So she is tolerant.
I share that because you are right...you will make it through this. You and your wife are strong together...and with that you can do anything!
Opportunites will knock...doors will open....and remember.. if either of you need to vent...we're here!!!
It always appears darkest...before the dawn.
