My squat suit is on order, so saturday I'll use a soft suit, I've my talc and chalk ready. We'll determine a one rep max by starting at 135 on all three moves, working up by 50 a turn till I can't do a clean lift.
Once that's determined Eddy the coach can work up a routine to integrate with the rest of my training.
I'm already training bare handed with chalk, wrist wraps, and have used knee wraps before. Chuck Taylors are my standard leg day footwear, so I'm set there.
In addition, Rickey Crain is going to talk to the AAU about a variance for me with regards to my hormone therapy.
Finally, I'm getting some gym cred as well. Young'uns are asking when's my next show (you are HUGE , man) and if I have any tips, which I'm happy to share.
Life is good.
B
PS, we tape each workout, so possbily there will be some vids of me lifting posted on YoutTube.

CAVEMAN!!!! Good for you Bro!!!! My wife is training for her first powerlifting meet at the end of March, so we share your excitment and enthusiasm. IF....(big IF), she lifts well...there is currently no standing American Record for her age/weight class...so there is a possibility that she could set an American Record at her first meet! I think I'm more pumped about it than she is! Chalk..LOL! We have a huge container (like a humongous bowl) with the chalk in it at our gym. I always tease the new people that they should not play inthe cocaine, because it's for the older lifters! ;D I know one day I will catch one sniffing or tasting it!!! Good luck Bro! Be good to watch your progress!!! Go HEAVY...or go home! mrbeefy

So I'll try again tomorrow.

Things clicked today! Squat suit got here so i did my usual back routine as a warm up.
Then i changed into the squat suit. OMFG! Note to self: shave legs and do not eat a heavy meal before doing that again.
I remebered some trick Eddy showed me on how to get into it, got my Chucky T's on and laced tight and waddled over to the dead lift corner.
I did a warm up of 10 reps , wide (sumo) stance, 135 lbs, touch and go. Felt good, no wierd pulling sensations from the fore arm or lower back.
Added fifty lbs, same deal, touch and gos, 8 this time.
still feeling good, taking my time, letting another guy work in.
this time, added 50 more, 4 reps, touch and go, with a 3 count on the last.
Last one was a full on one rep max try, with controlled lift, hold for 5 count, and controlled drop.
265 off the floor, good controlled pull, 5 count, controlled drop.
Now I have a baseline I can work up from.
Groovy!
