Ok Everyone..... another first time conundrum for me! I'm feeling a little lost and depressed that I haven't committed to a contest yet. I was going to do April 15th in WV, or May 2 in Canton OH, Or June 2 in Toledo, but I haven't sent in registrations, started my normal countdown, tanning, etc. All the normal stuff I do. Now...why not? Don't know if I'm ready or not....and if not...what will happen next year? Wife has another committment on April 15th in SC for a wedding. She said to go to the contest....but will I then "never hear the end of it?"This was supposed to be THE prep year for the BIG year next year. I don't like what I'm seeing here. Am I making excuses? Getting too nervous? Can't make a decision? or just getting old?!? Or...have I just had TOO MANY low carb days!!!! What's ya'lls take on this? I know...think Nike..." just do it!" uh-huh! Right! Ok all you WIZARDS OF IRON......Enlighten me!

Honestly. Pick one right now and DO IT! You will get into great shape just knowing that is set in stone. Just talking about doing it will keep you spinning your wheels

Frank, look for a show maybe in July or later to give yourself sufficient prep time. Then send in the form and just do it!!
Ultimately, your goal should be the over 50 Masters Nationals after you get a couple shows under your belt. You have the foundation, brother.
Good luck and get back to me with questions.

Frank,I would pick one of the later dates, probably the June one and start counting!!! that will give you nearly 12 weeks to get into shape

Frank, checking out the Arnold pix which you had posted you looked pretty good...I don't see a reason why you need to procrastinate.

I agree with what Randy said. Pick one, circle and put 100% to doing it. GL to you I know your'll rock it in whatever show you do.

I agree, pick a date, send in the forms and go for it!! As for the wedding conflict - if you had already committed to it before the wedding invitation was received, then I would say stick to the plans. But since you haven't made that commitment yet, choose one of the other dates, let all you family members know so you will also have them behind you 100%. YOU KNOW WE WILL!!!!!
