That sucks i know the feeling. Got the same thing at my gym in a sense. I can do them but not over 315 pounds...ARRRRRRGH!!!!!!

Like Chanman said.... You don't belong to Planet Fitness do you? There is one near my house right. One day me and my boys are gonna roll up there and see if they EVEN let us in. My odds are NO. Thank god Lifetime that I workout at they are cool about it. Also I dont' really slam the weights when I'm done. I use liquid chalk actually more the tennis grip you can buy. No mess and doesn't really leave anything on the bar. Too bad when I do deads I get the WTF is that exercise look.

Randy, why don't you switch on to some other gym for your personal workouts. I am sure there might be some powerlifting/hardcore gyms in your town.

WTF?!?! What are these gyms coming to?
That's why I like my gym. One of the last "old-school" gyms in the area. LOTS of plates. Olympic 100 pounders if you can handle it. DB up to 180 lbs each. Lots of chalk...chains.....music banging...plates banging...sweat..grunts, "odd smells"....yea old school baby!!!!!

If worse comes to worse, you can try using the Smith Machine for Deadlifts. I've used that before, just as an alternative. In a pinch, it's better than no deadlifts, and you will "get your fix!"

I've recently started doing no touching floor deads...and go only as low as the bar is below my knee caps..and then explode back up to stand up position.

I don't have restrictions at either gym but I can't hack squat or leg press at one of them. So I simply go to two gyms. Luckily for me the far one is three mile and the close one is three blocks so I am good to go.
Stop being jealous - I just got lucky.
