Back then I was a big fan of Lex Lugger & Ultimate Warrior. Now it would be John Cena. Never really was a fan of Hulkster, lol. There was this American wrestler by the name of Barry "Cyclone" Turner who had visited India in the early 90s. Fortunately he was coming in the same gym where my dad used to workout. Man!! This guy was about 6'4 or 6'5, handsome white man with possessing a physique which was more a bodybuilder's than a wrestler. I mean this guy was HUUUUUGE. He kinda looked like Billy Smith (Jim Quinn's training partner). When he used to walk on the streets stray dogs used to bark and people used to literally stop to take notice. Guy's were dazed with disbelief and women SHOCKED. The largest dumbell in the gym was 85 pounds which people used to seldom use for maybe a one arm row or dumbell press. This guy comes out of nowhere and starts doing bentover laterals with that weight. He knocked out some 15 reps with ease. There used to be a horizontal leg press on which this guy used to do high reps for one legged calf raise. You should have seen the faces and the expressions of these guys(just like when a monkey comes out of the punk's ass in the movie Bruce Almighty) in the gym, lol. I was always used to seeing these guys in mags but for the first time seeing such a guy in person was a visual treat & a great inspiration. I have his autograph which he scribbled on a small piece of paper which I have saved till now...Ah!! Those memories.

Anyone remember the Dynamite Kid?
That guy was SHREDDED all the time, and an amazing athlete. He was like a gunshot going off in the ring.
I used to watch him befoew WWF/E even existed, on Stampede Wrestling in Calgary where I grew up.

I'm not watching wrestling anymore, but my friends and I were huge WWE (WWF) fans a couple of years ago (1994 - 2000)! And since the first time i've seen him on TV, Shawn Michael became my favorite wrestler! He had the shape (athletic but not too big… in fact he was an important influence during my first years in the gym), the habilities in the ring and the attitude (humor and confidence at his best)! What was stange is that I believe I was the only Canadian who likes him after what Mcmahon and Him did to our "Canadian Hero" ;D Brett Hart at Summer Slam 1995!

But Ivan Putski and Superstar Graham were among my favorites.
