Had my one month post op follow up appointment today. Xrays show that the fusion is complete which absolutely astounded the doc. Usual time frame given for a complete fusion is 3 months, I knew I would heal sooner than that but not this quick Area is still sore and movement restricted a bit but I am able to drive again and doc has approved my full body work out I set up (mostly using my own body weight for resistance but adding in bands, light dumbbells and ankle weights where I can). I have also been given the green light to increase my walking, weather has been beautiful the past few days so have gone for a nice long walk outside each day as well as a half hour walk at the indoor track at my gym. Since the incision is healed I can also start back with the aqua rehab to boost up my cardio (still no treadmill). Will stick with this for a month and go back for another follow up, if doc is still happy we will start with offical rehab and start adding some weight. Beach body for the summer - here I come

Thanks everyone, I don't think you all realize just how much your support and encouragement means. My recovery and spirits are SOOO much better this time around, there were times after my first surgery after my car accident 5 years ago that I just didn't want to go on anyone, it just seemed to take so long and I felt that I had nothing to look forward to. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you I can't not wait to get back in the gym and show everyone what I can do

Thrilled for you, Tiffany!!! Almost miraculous healing and have been praying. Just proceed with caution and you will be 100% before you know it.
Admire your courage during this ordeal.

The weather has been so nice the past few day but it is calling for thunderstorms tomorrow (I'm afraid of lightning ) so took full advantage today and went for a nice long walk. Back felt so good I really had a hard time resisting breaking out in a jog - don't worry I didn't, but I really, really wanted to ;D

WOW!!! Now thats a speedy recovery!! You must feel fantastic knowing that you get to train hard again. It does feel good, keeps me something to think about when I'm getting bored with my full body isometric training I'm doing for now. I figure I will be back in a regular routine by September, take the balance of the year to slowly build some strength back, then hit the taring hard in 2008 to work to wards my goal of competing
