a buddy of mine who took 2nd LAST YEAR at a bb show got a call. It was a tested show, and it seems the guy who took first tested positive for something banned (they didn't tell him what it was). So my friend won. Which is great for him.
A few things really bug me about this.
1. WHY DID IT TAKE A YEAR!!!?!?!?!?!?!!!
2. Cheating pisses me off in any form, but seriously - what is the point of cheating at a small, natural show where the only prize is a trophy?
3. My friend won, but never got to stand in the centre of the stage for the victory shot with the big trophy. Somehow, after all it takes to get there .... seems like a big rip-off thanks to some maggot low-life with no self-esteem.

Rich, I also cant understand why someone would like to cheat (for any shows) and I agree that the feeling of receiving the trophy via mail one year later is not "ideal" for your friend, but… there is a major BUT… it means that the organisation really did the testing! Wow… rare are the organisations (even for tested show) who REALLY test the athletes… so two thumbs up to this organisation…. And of course, to your friend!

yeah,it sometimes takes a while for test results to filter through esp if the athlete contests them... Congrats to your friend!  |

It is odd that it took a year to get the results but at least justice was served!
At the show that I entered last year, Natural Northern USA, the winner of the masters class failed the drug test also! It does suck for the person who misses out on being named the winner.

I hate when this happens. I really cannot understand why someone cheats in a drug tested show. I mean all natural athletes really want is a level playing field.
I have nothing agains non tested shows or guys who enter them, but to cheat is really stupid and insulting!

Great that they actually tested,screw the cheater,and a travesty for your friend not to have had his deserved time in the limelight.
People who use are fine in my book as it is their own business,but when they enter tested shows and literally steal a trophy or title,they are lower than pond scum!
