I love flat bench presses, my right shoulder does not. Inclines do not bother me though!

WOW,a year later huh?
You should just find one chest exercise that causes the least amount of pain and use it excluseively for a while.......same with delts,it may help in the long run.
Good luck Rich.......been there bud and I`m sure I`ll be there again somewhere down the road.

Thanks Tim. That's what I've been doing. It's better, but still gives me trouble on innocent movements - like picking up my daughter, for example.
What's so annoying is the effect it had on my training in general. I went from super-dedicated to sporadic (because I kept getting hurt). That affected my diet as well, because with me my training keeps me disciplined with my diet. When I train hard, I feel like I'm betraying my efforts if I don't eat properly. Take away the training and .... my foodaholic tendencies start to win.

Hang in Rich...hopefully you`ll recover or find a better way to work around it. Good luck!

I know what you mean Rich… we often feel like it's all or nothing hen? But the truth is that less is far better than nothing… so eat right and work aroung this injury! Use lighter weights and perform exercises that you know wont worsen your injury!
Hang in Rich and things are going to be back to normal!

I know it's what I'd say to someone in my position. But have any of you ever noticed how hard it is to do the right thing when it's YOU that has to follow the good advice? Still, what choice is there. My life and weight training are intertwined. It's such a huge part of who I am that when I don't lift .... I feel lost. Does that make any sense? My guess is that it would to the folks here, but not necessarily to the "civilians".
